    Really cool to see you help that young lady out. The fact that she’s going to finish the job is impressive. Not enough young people know how to change their own oil, let alone put a T-case cover back on properly, reinstall axles and put a driveline back together! Keep up the good work. Cars, trucks, bikes…. It’s all good! I’d like to know more about that cart in the shop. Looks like it’ll rip!

    Them crush sleeves are a beast! I've changed several rear axle housing under warranty with the axle tubes seeping oil from the center section. funny though everyone I changed was a crew cab short box 4x4 lifted over size tires air bags and a 20k or higher fifth wheel hitch and there was always sand falling out from the truck doing it. 😂
    That CR500AF. Is a sweet ride I wish honda would of had switched over to aluminum before they stopped building the 5-honeys
    I remember that smile Paul had on his face had one just like it first time I rode my 86 cr500
    love it guys keep up the builds
    It's always great to hear and see how people come together to help out 👍

    I’d definitely love to see more on some of the things that you work on during the week days!!! Maybe not every one but definitely the cool ones for sure and some of the things that other people might be having trouble with also!! It might actually help someone else save them selves some money if they can do it themselves!!! I’m a mechanic/ welder for the past 25 years and no how things can go for others that have the capability to do something but don’t know exactly how to do or fix certain things!!! Awesome video buddy and Paul’s bike definitely looks amazing for sure!!! I’ve definitely been wanting to find myself a good bike but with being a shorter guy it’s kinda hard!!

    Man that thing came out so clean what a good selection of parts I wish I live in your state I would come to you cause I'm stumped I just rebuilt a 96 cr125 it has spark it has to be getting gas so idk it could be the cdi box or the stator but it ran fine before the rebuild anyway good job 10 outta 10 build

    • @adamthomas4638
      @adamthomas4638 ปีที่แล้ว

      Woah you kicked that thing with some gumption is it cause its such a big motor that was turbo start

    • @DIRTBIKEFAB
      @DIRTBIKEFAB  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to be clear it does have spark? And it is getting gas? If so check compression. Is it possible you installed the piston in backwards. O my reason I ask is because I have seen that happen and cause no run after rebuild. Easy way to check is pull the head and make sure the arrow on the piston is pointing towards the front of the bike (exhaust).

    I'm really interested to know, is there a pretty big weight savings from the original 500, what does this bike weigh now that it's all together?

    • @DIRTBIKEFAB
      @DIRTBIKEFAB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah there’s around a 20 lb weight savings with the A/F 500 compared to the original 500. Again depending on years. The biggest advantage ( in my opinion) is the parts availability, ergonomics, and suspension is what makes the A/F a better option for the 500. Bare frame to bare frame the iron frame may actually be a little lighter by a few pounds. But all the parts that bolt on the aluminum frames are very much so lighter which makes the A/F conversion much lighter and better handling. Thanks for watching my channel and I hope you stick around for more fun builds to come.
