About a year and a half ago I was in such a dark place. Then I found Paul's channel. I was instantly hooked. His entire family is amazing! (Yes that includes you and your crew! Merlin and so on!) I dont think I'd be here today if it wasn't for all of you. You all inspired me to work torawrds getting my own channel going. The past 8 months have been silly rough financially. Videos like this keep that that fire lit. The bike looks awsome! And thank you for inspiring an old dog.
I honestly hope you do! Y'all are inspiring. People may not comment all the time. But, I am willing to bet some kid is wrenching on bike and rewatching something they are trying to learn. Instead of breaking into someone's car for cupholder change.
This turned out amazing. Absolute bad ass looking bike. Paul’s smile and reaction said it all. Job well done. Will definitely be looking for more of your builds.
I once owned a 1986 CR500, It was an animal in everyway. I am absolutely impressed on the machine you created for Paul and really jealous of the decompression valve. LOL Great job. Great filming.
Man I love the sound of a 2 stroke dirt bike .. Back in the day I paid for a 440 Maico at a bike show here in the uk . I had so much fun on that bike . Mad fast so much torque nearly rippin yer hands off the bars . Didn’t realise till recently that I had owned one of the maddest MX bikes around . I’m now 61 and looking for a half decent Yamaha DT125 trail bike . I had the 1975 version . Great channel .
CR500 is the most fun bike I ever wrecked. I loved riding it, but in our woods trails, I spent most of my time dragging it out of one brush pile or another. ;)
That is one bad bike. Watched the whole build and I was impressed. Seeing Paul ride it on the pipe was AWESOME. Such a good group of people. Love you guys.
Man you guys are super lucky to have such sweet areas to ride, here in michigan their is no where to ride like this. Im jealous, but at least you boys are ripping it like you mean it and having a blast. That beings joy to my heart. Keep and riding fellas.
Back in the 80'2 I had the pleasure of riding the KDX 420. It was on a ranch I cowboy on above 7,200 feet. It was owned by the owners stepson, who always had thee latest and greatest bikes. I was very disappointed, when he bought the new then, Honda XR 500R. I rode up one of those nasty steep hills covered in loose shale, the just went up and up. On the footpads, leaned out over the front wheel, just hoping to not lose traction. The view from the top was well worth it. Unfortunately blasting back down was not an option. It was pretty technical going up, and my first thought before heading down, was I know better than to climb something like this. I actually did not think it would make it to the top. I definitely earned that ride, and did not lose it on the way down. This reminds me of the ride, and the great power from the ol' 2strokes. Nice work.
I spent the day going back and watching the entire build series and you have nailed it. I grew up on 2 wheels and still miss it. The level of detail and effort you have put in on your time off from your full time jobs is amazing.
That bike has the best exhaust note when you hold it wide open! For the record, you guys don't scare me when you climb those impossible uphills. You scare the crap out of me when you park at the top and point your cameras down!
This was an amazing project. It makes me miss my RMZ-250. My dad picked me up from my golf course job at 14 or 15 and we drove an hour and a half where he surprised me with a demo 07' RMZ-250. I was over the moon and it was my pride and joy. I'm short so now I have a 2014 KX100 and while being able to touch the ground in corners is nice, I miss the big bikes. But eight inch starting blocks and dumping that RMZ on sand tracks and desperately trying to find something to stand on to restart the bike was a challenge.
I never knew Paul was a dirt bike man .. already thought the guy was awesome … but now I know he’s a mxer he’s like right up there now!!! 2 strokes forever man love it 😍
That bike is totally awesome! I had more then thirty bikes over 50 yrs of riding and the sound of that big two stroke still makes me want to ride so bad again. Awesome job looks absolutely so cool. 👍👍
I just started to tear down my 1994 Kawasaki KX 125 on my channel. The guys at fab rats and dirt bike fab have inspired me so much to take on this build. Thank you guys so much for the inspiration!!!
This is one of the best videos I’ve watched in a long time! Knowing both your and Paul’s channels, seeing the bike rebuilt then actually ridden was awesome. And it’s a Honda of course.
Awesome build! Really sounds great! I'm sure it was embarrassing when it flooded but it was good you were there to work it out! Gotta have some issues on the first run. Really fun video, thanks!
Dude I've been watching fab rats for almost as long as he's been putting out video that man is smiling from ear to ear love that build .I have a 600 cr and loved riding because of the power do to back issues I parked it in the back of the shed and when I get heald up I will ride again.👍👍😎🤪
I haven't road a bike in meny yearsbut you have set off a burning inside of to get another bike if I get anything that is half as nice as Paul's bike I will be really happy, thanks guys for a fantastic video I've never seen Paul smile so much in any of his video's.
You do some cool stuff with offroad bike engines. I look forward to seeing more of what you do. I'm not much of a commenter but I will try to coment as I know it helps your channel. Great content!!
Life achievement this year. We have 5 dirt bikes. Zero 2 strokes and zero carburetors on them. I only work on them when they get worn out or need oil changed. On new cool stuff put on. ;)
The whole world can tell when Paul Cox is satisfied. He wears his smile from ear to ear!
Yep he sure does no words needed....

Now, THAT is a motto ! "Go Fast Don't Die" I particularly appreciate which comes first!

Massive respect.
A beautiful build, built to be used.
Sterling work.
Nice one fellas!!!
The sound of a 500 is definitely noticeable when you're out riding. Bike came out great. Nice job
You watch Ronnie Mac

Absolutely nice bike build...Paul looks extremely happy...
What a blast. The 500 CC machines just dig and fly up the hills. Hold-on should be these machines motto. Thanks for building and sharing.
The big 2strokes banging away brings back some memories 😊
Paul’s bike is sweet! That stopped up vent is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like that before. Well done on the bike build DBF!!
That is one bad bike. Watched the whole build and I was impressed. Seeing Paul ride it on the pipe was AWESOME. Such a good group of people. Love you guys.

What a machine 👏
Not for the beginner I imagine can get you into trouble plenty quick 🤣
You are correct. That 500 can be very disrespectful!!
Paul here’s your bike, get on, sit down, shut up, and hold on.. lmao.. 😂😂😂

The Honda CR500. Greatest dirt bike ever made. And then they made it even better! I am jealous. I miss my 94’.
Nothing better than red white and blue, I served for those colors for 20 years

Excellently built! Paul’s smile says it all. Now Paul’s gonna have to make a mount to haul it on the wrecker for advance scouting of his recoveries.
