@@StephenJReid We are all in the wonderfully flat state of Florida, the group of people i did the Dingle race with would be the ones id be draggin with me to Tollymore. We havent seen NI yet and it seems like it would be a good reason to head over there .
@@StephenJReid I wish I had, i've been scoping around to find some trail runs like these. If you've got any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!
Fair play. That last hill looks like a killer. I'll have to take the camera for a walk around that top end next time i'm out. I always stick to the river walk for pics.
@@StephenJReid Unfortunately not as i live in Australia. I have been to Ireland a long time ago but didn't make it to Northern Ireland. It's great to see the places you get to run through via these videos.
Stephen J Reid no, never done it, I’ve only started running (properly...ish) since the end of August this year, had planned on doing it but man flu got the better of me last month and totally messed up my training plans 🤦🏻♂️ signed up for Race over the Glens though 👍🏻
What beautiful scenery! That first climb slapped the glasses right off your face! And yes, that's cheating. You really shouldn't get in the middle of a domestic dispute. Sorry about the PB, but I have to say, you have the best shots and edited running videos out there.
Yours other video about “Race over the Glens 2019” made me to train and practice to start in 2020 (never run before September) btw do u know when is last day to sing up?
Stephen J Reid yep just in September I was trying to run in past (2018) but for whole year it was around 10 runs for 2km max each. Now 5 times a week with total around 40km. Never got medal in past and I want this one to be first.
That was fun to watch, holding the camera would drive me crazy do you not get cramps and does it not mess up your arm swing long term. I can offer to be your personal filmographer and free that arm 😉
Hi Ben. Thanks. I’ve deliberately chosen that way of filming to try and capture more of the feeling of a race, being right in it. The longest I would hold the camera continuously would be about 5mins for some of those longer hyperlapse shots. Arm is burning by then! It does have a huge impact on my race times compared to when I’m not filming.
@@StephenJReid Yeah I felt that watching it, now I miss racing so much. Haha well it's worth it for the footage. You need a little drone that automatically follows you. Can imagine because I take my insoles out and I race faster but that's just 22g conpared to the weight of lugging a gopro.
That drone shot with all the golden autumn trees was gorgeous 😍
What tree is your favourite?
I see what you’re doing 👀😂
Clearly it’s the big orange leafed one ☝️
This looks like a great race . i just shared this video to my travel friends ... awesome video!
Thanks! It’s definitely one of the best trail races in NI. Where are your friends from? Think they might go visit Tollymore?

Awesome video! Fun, cool to watch, trail run so cool, good editing. Niceee!
Another great video, thanks Stephen!!
Thanks George! Did you run it?

Check out 26 Extreme website, also Born2Run events. Race over The Glens on New Years day is a fantastic short trail race.
Doing the ultra here on Saturday think ive watched this video about 10 times now. Not filled with optimism at how knackered you look after 12 miles.
Haha, well if it’s any consolation I didn’t really train for it

I’d never been up the top of the forest before running this last year. Place is huge!
Such great quality entertainment. Thanks for the effort.
Thanks Alan! 🙂 Ever been to Tollymore?

I'd love to go to Australia sometime and race a Roo 😁
Nice one mate! Just tried out the Hero8 Black for my NYC Marathon Vlog myself!
Hey Andy! A guy from my running club was over running NYC. He didn’t vlog it though, looks like a brilliant race. What did you think of the Hero8?
Loved the views and the music as well 👍👍
Thanks!
Disappointed I wasn’t able to do it, will definitely be there next year, & 3 Cheers for Patrick from Italy 🇮🇹 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Were you there last year? Yeah how great was that, coming from Italy to run (ok so maybe that wasn't the only reason).

Race over the Glens is great! I’m hopefully running it again. Not 100% sure tgough
Stephen J Reid Great way to start the year, that’s my plan anyway 🤣

Thanks! Haha, my glasses steamed up on the first hill.
Good man, an other great video!

Hey that’s great! You just started in September? Not sure, but you should sign up soon so you don’t miss a place!

Wow that's brilliant! 40km a week is great training, I'm just ticking over currently with about 20-25km a week.

Loved that shot flying up and over the tree with orange leaves. Why do most runners wear blue?
Thanks! Uh those were all Ballymena Runners in the club colours. Or did you mean in general?
@@StephenJReid In general at these type of events, maybe a lot of clubs use blue?
Yeah I think it’s an easy colour choice. Also Belfast City marathon always give Blue t-shirts so thousands of runners have them.
@@StephenJReid ah
Well done, that looked tuff.
Thanks Pete! It was indeed tuff! 😁
Nice video love running . Kind regards Vlogger 367
Thank you! Do you run trails or roads?
Stephen J Reid I like to run trails but mostly run roads.
