Great win for you, Sandi - I did the full M and it was a brutally tough, technical course - apparently did not prepare well enough for the climbing and the gnarly, scree-slope descents. Fun times, though, sorry we missed you at the end. Salida is such a great town though...
What a awesome result Sandi coming first in the half marathon, thanks for the training tips, not to interested in what brand of sunglasses haha main thing is you’re out there having fun winning races Boom! 💥✌️✅🏃🏽♂️🌲🍀🌴🥳
Just wanted to sneak in a Congrats! Probably Will, structure, motivation and using your smarts to accomplish your Win! "Dog days are over". Got a half m00n here and waiting for the snow-covered peaks sliver of dawn before this wabbit gets his grind in. I learned of rabbit apparel from you(seeing the jacket) and want to say thank you as I love or like very much the warmth and durability.... Anyway, keep at it as you are in your prime for those distances, and no doubt it is a fun time in your life! I applaud and am happy for you as things don't just happen.~ tomorrow is what you do today so today is actually the future. Make it a good day all.
That was awesome. Great job. I am getting ready for another marathon next month and have my tune up half marathon in a couple of weeks to practice my race day strategy. I am hoping to get under 3:45 on this one and have one of your All In marathon plans for my goal marathon in September to start this summer. I am wanting to get 3:30 in that one.
Great job Sandi! I’ve been following you and Sage for a couple of years and I know last year stunk so it’s good to things turning around, both running and personally.
Nice race! I’m running the Black Hawk Half in July. I saw that a couple years ago you also won that race! Any advice about that course for a first time trail runner?
I am currently training for a road race half marathon that is in May and a little more than a month later a trail half marathon. How do I train for both without affecting the other? I have not yet run on trails because of the fear of injury or affecting my road running with soreness and/or fatigue from using muscles I don’t use during road running. Thanks and congratulations! Enjoy the videos!
Are there some trails near you without too many big hills and not too technical? If so, you could do some of your easier runs on trails. If you start with easier trails, they can actually help prevent injury because you're running on a soft surface and moving a little differently than you would on a flat road. Even though you're doing a road half, 1 or even 2 easy runs on trails (or even just a couple of miles on trails) per week is absolutely okay and may even be beneficial. Have fun with it. Really, having fun helps you focus and stay relaxed so you can navigate any rocks or roots with ease.
@@RunningWildSandi Sandi - Thank you! Today I did my fun run (what most runners call an easy or recovery run, I call a fun run because you never dread them!) on a local easy trail and it was wonderful! So enjoyable and soft on the feet! So fun to just run the time scheduled for the day without worrying about pace or distance that I would normally do running on the road and just simply enjoying running and the scenery! I will continue these fun runs on the trails until I complete the road half marathon and then move my long runs to the trails! Thank you again and keep up the good work!

Can I find the United Hydration mix in Europe? I searched it but I could not locate where it was available. Thank you.
What shoes do u recommend for running on a treadmill? I’m in Miami & there aren’t many trails 4 me 2 run in. ❤️🙏🏼

Hi Sandi! Congrats on the win! And the product! What is the flavor of Bare Naked? Thanks!
Yep! :)
What flavor does the bare Naked taste like??? Thanks!
Congrats Sandi. How tall are you if you dont mind me asking ? Does height matter for running fast & strong . I'm at 165cm FYI.
5 feet, 5 inches. There are good examples of great runners (both road and trail) at a variety of heights.
