Beautiful place to explore and enjoy! Another great video!
Thank you! 🙂
It looks beautiful, right out of a fairytale! Great race!
Thanks Martha 🙂
When I go running with my wife, she says she can't talk. I love it, it is the one place I can finish my sentences! Thanks for the run.
😂😂 better hope she doesn’t read this!
Another great running video !
Thanks Lisa!
Epic. Looks super fun, and the forest is gorgeous.
Thanks Tobi
Love Tollymore! I have been lucky to take part in these runs (a few years ago I might add) and you brought back those lovely memories. Well done to Ryan and all who took part.
Thanks! It’s a great place to run 🙂
Fantastically well produced video by Stephen
Thanks Alan!
Brilliant video by a superb film maker. Tollymore looked its usual beautiful self...great craic during the trai race...many thanks
Thanks Andy! 🙂
This is one of our favourite runs of the year. Thanks for the video. You really captured the feel of Tollymore. It is such a beautiful place. Did you do a video of the Born2Run Loughgall race this year by any chance? I can’t see it on your channel.
Thanks! 🙂 No I didn’t run Loughgall, only really able to fit in 3-4 of the series
Your cinematography is awesome. It is such good story telling. Love the google maps interspersed with the video. Audio is also surprisingly good too. Either you are a speed demon or those folks are a wee bit slow. Absolutely love the 360 footage. Cheers in the new year.
Thanks! I was wrecked by the end of this trying to catch up on new people to talk to
Wow gorgeous place to run! Awesome job capturing the beauty of it, Stephen!
Thanks!
Very inspiring, I think I'll take up knitting
Haha thanks!
Can you knit me some running socks?
Haven’t been in Tollymore in years, might start there and go into the Mournes
There a nice route through the forest and up onto the mountains
Looked like Lynch Mob was after you when you asked how they were feeling on that climb 😂 great looking route
Haha, they were having none of it 😂
Thanks, amazing place
Отличное видео
Thank you! 🙂
@@StephenJReid What program do you use for sound processing?
@@TouristOptimist I edit in Adobe Premiere Pro
Congrats .. hope your legs are feeling better
Thanks, bit sore still 😬
@@StephenJReid you were hammering that last bit , a bit early in the season for record breaking I was thinking . Be careful of those legs you need them .
Peace
@@lifesahobby I did struggle to get out of bed the next day 🥵
I,ll be doing 8k run through woods and muddy fields after brekky tomorrow.
Iam up to 12 mile run now👍
Enjoy! 🙂
any shoe recommendations for the forest marathon 0911/2024. Trail shoe or runner
You really getting those cut aways with a go pro hero 11? Impressive!
Ah no not all, the really high quality shots used a Sony mirrorless camera and where shot the day before
@@StephenJReid aah I see. Very nice.
Great video as always Stephen. Honest question, as a regular runner, how do Born 2 Run justify the price of their events? £25 for a 5km or 10km is pricey!
Thanks Mark! Hmmm good question and I’m not a race organiser so can’t easily answer.
I’d maybe say two things about this.
1. Commercial races are a business and they need to make a profit to keep going. I’ve worked with 3/4 different organisers and none of them seem like they are rolling in cash. I think it just costs a lot to run races to a certain standard.
2. There’s a ton of cheap options for races like Parkrun’s(free) and also a lot of mountain races are run on a voluntary basis so entry is very cheap. See Hill and Dales series later in year.
But again I’m not a race organiser so can’t really back this up.
Goku Runner started a race organization called 3 Bros Running. They've got some good videos about the costs of race organizing. Medals alone cost about $10, or 8.10 pounds, depending on the amount/ complexity bought. Add in licenses, equipment costs, gas to move it all, food for the runners, fees to the venues... I agree though, that's the max price I'd pay for a 5k, and it had better have good food! 😆
Looks like I didn't see half of Tollymore forest, maybe next time. I felt Ryan's pain, got a sore hip on my first 10km trail race.
We didn’t even cover half of it on this race. There’s a half marathon in autumn that takes in even more of the forest.
@@StephenJReid Yeah the 26 extreme is a winding route. Should do a Born 2 run event to compare.
