    Considering the average Altima is traveling between 90-130mph at all times I don’t think they are concerned with 0-60.

      You mean side swiping other cars at 90 - 130 with dents all over it, the pushed in trunk lid duct taped down, and both ends of the front bumper missing? Oh and don't forget the purple bubbly tints!

      The video showed 5.8 seconds and these things really were quick for those years. I believe the time maybe off a tenth or two. The maxima for those years did 6.1 / 0-60

      @Chazikiss1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThisIsInput I definitely had the v6 I put a lot into it. I did read the time wrong but if you look it up the only one doing less than 6 seconds was the se-r model with the 6 speed manual. Plus the 1/4 mile was around 14 and a half on average at 95ish mph. Definitely wasn't hitting 100 less than that

      @@Chazikiss1 other factors like elevation, and the weather/temp also play a huge role...it's moreso common for forced induction vehicles to experience more drawbacks or advantages from outdoor factors since turbos in general respond too well to cold weather and generally will become heatsoaked in warmer weather, but overall, the maxima is n/a so this may be a strange comparison but my gli with a 2.0t was over 1-1.4 seconds quicker in cooler weather, and lower elevations than higher elevations and warmer weather conditions...ideally, a 3rd gen non-cvt maxima in suitable conditions like decent elevation alone can run at least a 0 to 60 of 5.4, and 100 in roughly 12.8-13, but on average, you'd see numbers of 0-60 at around 5.7ish and 13ish to 100 but they're no doubt capable of better times with the 5 speed auto/manual than the cvt...if the 3rd gens with it's same standard transmission had 300 to the crank like the newer gens, it would surely be cracking the 5.0 seconds. (0-60) and 12.4 (0-100) marks without a doubt...their curb weight is in the low 3,000's, so they have a major advantage weight wise over their predecessors, and the newer gens are in the same weight class...one thing Nissan is smart about is keeping their vehicles at a great power/weight ratio...less weigh in itself can overexxagerate performance gains in the right conditions..

  • @ChefBoyarDEEZ
    @ChefBoyarDEEZ 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Let me guess, everything after 2012's cvt blows up in this video. I had a 2001 Altima SE 5 speed manual, got it for $1g and beat the ever loving ish out of it for 2 years str8. Thing was absolute junk, destined for the junkyard so I put her through her paces. I mean rode hard and put up wet, just expecting to blow the head gasket straight out of her but she put up with my abuse day in and day out, and was surprisingly conformable as well. I was surprised it held up as well as it did. Those days are long gone for Nissan and while I'll always have a special place in my heart for their pre 2010 cars, they are effin junk now and would never waste money on them.
