You should check out the Klim airbag vest no Tether Andy and wear under all your jackets. Powered by in&motion that RST use now and also MotoGP riders. Highly recommend and you don’t notice your wearing underneath. Full protection to collar bone, neck areas too
I should be getting another airbag vest soon that is tether-less - will be interesting to see how that compares with the Helite (which is a great bit of kit by the way).....

As an ex copper, I can attest that you still do always feel a bit ‘weird’ when you follow, or have a bike cop behind you. I think that’s a healthy response though. As I’ve seen through the looking glass, I can say that most bike cops are just like you and I, just want to enjoy the ride too. If you act and behave like a dick, then guess what, you’re gonna get stopped. But ride responsibly and stick mostly to the limits, you’ll be fine. Great set of vids so far Andy, looking forward to number 3. All the best.
Matt just asked TMF this but you might have an answer to it as well. I am trying to fit regulation size L plates to my grandsons bike but its proving to be a nightmare as they are so large. Did you have any leeway if you spotted an L plate that had been "trimmed ". Back in the 60's we use to wrap the rear one around a suspension leg 😉
Do not agree in Wales its not the case when you were a cop if a senior citizen was doing a so called 32 in a 30 what woiuld you have done ?? would you also have hidden in a horse box and jumped up with your speed gun fact just outside Mold !!!!!!!! Well this happened to me and my motherinlaw so I dont go with this bullshit sorry !! and if you do not beleive me look at historic news paper clips What does mostly to the limits mean in England sensible cops in Wales cops with nothing better to do !!!!!!!!! Just give them a ticket makes us look good safety and all that yea !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was riding in Wales the same weekend Andy and can confirm the weather was crap but it did clear up a bit. Did consider the Ponderosa cafe but a little out of the way on our route to Snowdonia. Stayed in Rhayader, next to the spectacular Elan Valley reservoirs. Wales has some great roads, planning to return. An enjoyable watch, thanks.
Very professional riders and officers. Talk to someone who does it for a living if you want a true expert. I followed a motorcycle officer in a funeral train to the cemetery in Arlington Texas a few years ago. He was retired, but the command he had of both his machine and all the surrounding traffic was an impressive sight to see.
A really enjoyable second episode of your time with the guys in Wales. The editing must take hours but the end result is amazing. And then it ended. Roll on episode 3. Great work.
Thanks for the Police view Andy. They genuinely seem like decent folks who still want you to be able to have fun on your bike. Just dealing with the eejits!
Another good vlog Andy and hopefully rebuilding bridges between bikers and the traffic police in Wales. Many still remember the antics of Brunstrom and the Mad Mullah of the Traffic Taleban nickname which no doubt boosted his massive ego. Great to see the North Wales roads being policed with common sense and education as opposed to Brunstroms iron rod approach. Personally, have never had a problem with traffic police. One had a complete sense of humour bypass many years ago when a mate of mine changed lanes on the M62 without looking but who knows what the cop had spent the previous few hours dealing with. Can feel a Snowdonia road trip coming on.
Don’t worry too much about triggering your Helite, it takes a quite hefty pull. I have mine so when I get off the bike the lanyard just goes tight & reminds me not to walk away! It’s loose enough to stand up on the pegs too. Hope I’m not tempting fate by saying I’ve never set it off by mistake!

Do you live in wales if not dont get confused these fuzzz as you put it will spank your ass in a second and smile as they do it I live here !!!!!!!!!!!!
Horseshoe Falls? Thats in Canada Proper? For me it looks like most of the roads are very narrow. My time in Scotland in the 1970’s indicated most roads are painted on the Hills but only one lane wide, so the speeds were very low in general. I am sure they are much improved now. The police officer was awesome. Great communication about the job and public interaction. Nice stop overs. great officer discussions about lane positioning. Definitely experienced riders sharing good info. Love the video and thanks.
Thanks for this video, brought back lots of memories. Use to live in a village called Treuddyn ( you would have gone past it) & riding up to the Ponder Rosa & out to Corwen was a quick evening blast on my Laverda. Now living on Vancouver Island, so really pleased to see some of my old motorcycling roads. Cheers.
Ooooo, left us with a cliff hanger! Loving this series. Haven’t got to part three yet but wondering if you asked them about their off duty biking? So what they ride etc.
Enjoying the series genuine guys. Exhaust noise (db) are measured at mot her in Spain, you bike specifications have the figure on so thay check your bike about 1m back and out to the side from the exhaust at 3000rpm . So it has to be the same at every 2 years at your mot. I dont know what you do if you have to fit aftermarket and they are louder either than ram the baffles with packing.
Really enjoying this series. Great roads to ride and fantastic scenery. On a nice sunny day, especially weekends and bank holidays, the Ponderosa gets very busy with bikers. Ride safe.
Very good that is famtastic info and so good to see the Police engaged totally with getting the message out , thanks for all that from you all , supwr vid.
Enjoyed this film greatly. I'm very lucky to live in Shropshire, not far away. I moved up from London nearly 20 years ago and absolutely love the scenery in North Wales, awesome riding. The Ponderosa has been the meeting point for many a trip.
You passed it at 10:39 episode 1, but edited the video at that moment so it wasn't visible. I'm with a group from Royston and we plan to visit there (as well as the Ponderosa) in September. They've had a spread in MCN and are well represented on Trip Advisor.
Great video, love North Wales, not far from me as it happens. The only time I have ever had points is from North Wales. Granted, I was speeding, but I do find you get away with less in North Wales. I think traffic enforcement is a big part of North Wales policing. I have thought about getting a number plate with a little red dragon on there to see if helped. I hasten to add I am far more compliant now which I attribute to being older, not necessarily wiser.
Andy, this is a great series. I am really enjoying it. I think it is terrific that you were able to spend a day or two with Welsh MC Cops.and get to know them. My sense is that UK cops are more open and down to earth than Canadian or US police…my impressions anyway!
Nice of the North Wales police to block the electric vehicle charging points when you stopped at Rhug Estates! ;-) Recognised many of the roads, thanks for the video - looking forward to part 3.

Hi there Andy, I have just traded in the Street Triple and bought this years F750 gs te, the screen is absolutely crap, but just scored a 850 screen adjuster which I am going to install on the bike, how much does your screen give you in protection from the rain and weather, what height would you say is good for someone 5,8 from your own experience, as I see you have a add-on on your screen, the speed gun calibration, lol that is how I got away with my speeding over here, the calibration was well out and hadn't been done.
Hey Andy, it’s always interesting to see how the Police operate and to remember that they’re enthusiasts as well and can understand motorcycling issues 👍. On a separate note…I’ve recently upgraded my ride to a current model S1000RR. I enjoyed your critique of the bike when you did your review and I must say that it did help in making my decision to buy 👍🏍…thanks. Cheers.

Yes I'm sure there will be more in due course - tend to take a bit of filming and they never get many views so I need time on my hands for those as an "extra"....
Great video, really interesting to view from the police's side. We all like a bit of 'fun' on our bikes and its easy to forget theres a biker inside that police helmet. On noise levels with the expected increase of EV cars and bikes even a stamped legal OEM exhaust is soon going to sound loud to some. I for one don't want to be screwed down any more on sound (and I don't want an EV) so although years ago I dabbled nowadays I just leave as standard. Having said that a Street triple is a nice 'loud' as standard. Its the burbling I like rather than just out and out exhaust noise. As for MOTs there are less Bike MOT stations than there were afew years ago and alot of them will ask you to make the bike standard for the day, and you do what you want the day after, as they want no agro which may affect their MOT licence. They get approx £30 for their time (which covers test time, computer and printer) and any 'iffy' parts also slow them down while they assess them and decide, which just p1sses them off.
If you're a tourist or hunter: buffalo. If your biologist or work for Game & Fish (my wife does): Bison. Classic case of everyday vernacular vs proper name. I also run into trouble with antelope when they really are pronghorns. Those guys are very diplomatic. Hats off to them.
Hmm, there’s a question I have regarding exhaust noise. My bike is Euro4. There’s a sticker on the frame that states the exhaust noise is 91dB at 4,250 revs. In addition, I got the optional road legal Akrapovic slip on with mine which adds another 2dB. Since buying the bike new, I’ve also fitted a set of road legal aftermarket headers, which again has increased the volume, but I have no idea what it is now. Ignoring the headers, with the factory fitted optional Akrapovic, my bike produces 93dB. The legal threshold is 80dB, with an additional 6dB tolerance to account for mechanical noise. So that makes the legal limit 86dB, though I’ve heard that most police forces will use 90dB as the guideline. So how is it that my bike is/was 7dB above the legal limit from the factory, yet completely legal? There’s also some new Ducati’s that are even louder than mine when new, yet they comply with the latest Euro regs, how is this possible? It seems that it is possible to have a bike that is legally illegal, work that one out 🤷🏻♂️

What a lovely bunch of guys those policemen are …..they come across as normal …nearly 😉…tbf they can sometimes get a bad press (not from me may I add ) and folk think they’re out to get everyone but what a job they have to do especially first on scene stuff ….so fair play tu them and they really do a good job when you hear their explanation of events and how to deal with them professionally ….well done Andy it’s great tu see at first hand how they work ….all the equipment etc ….kudos to you and also the Welsh police for allowing you the expose ……looking forward to the next instalment already …..seriously good viewing and great public relations….👍👍👍👍
amazing how folk come over whilst being filmed !!!! not quite so nice when i got done for 32 in a 30 in Bala not so good when my mother in law who has been driving for
over 40 years with not a single ticket within 3 months gets 3 tickets in Wales how odd is that and then decides to sell her caravan she could afford the rent she could
not afford the tickets and before you say well the law is the law yes it is but commonsense also comes into play she was driving a polo she was 79 years old wouldit
not have been sensible to just give hera ticking off sorry a telling off for god sake lets get reall shall we
Part 2 didn't disappoint. You should put these on the BBC Andy. Very enjoyable.
The BBC 🙄 good grief!
Thanks Craig!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I am sure you can do better than the BBC ha ha
When you’re riding in North Wales, if you can’t see the top of Snowdon, it’s raining. If you can see the top of Snowdon, it’s about to rain.
or if you see a copper you are about to get a ticket but with a smile !!!
Hi Andy, luckily, the police officer was in front of you when you appeared to miss the compulsory stop at the chain bridge junction.
whoops lucky he was filming that was another ticket about to be given !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely amazing series of vlogs. Some of my favourite you've produced and extremely informative. Can't wait for the next one. Love it. Thanks and keep up the great work. All the best.
Glad you like them Amanda - next one on Thursday.....
Really enjoy these different kind of videos you do Andy, been watching your channel for a while now and like the way there is always something different on offer. As a fairly new biker i get lots of inspiration ,knowledge and ideas from your channel, cheers! look forward to part 3.
Awesome, thank you!
I’m so lucky to have all this nearby. Great entertaining video, thanks to you all.
It is very nice but hard to wash if you sweat in it.
Stopped off at my work place Rhug. It's a hell of a commute down the A5 between Betws and Rhug.
Do you do it on the bike Chris?
@@iainstewart1715 I have been for the last few weeks mate. Makes for a lovely start and end to the day. Although the people I hold up on the Betws to Padog bends stretch might have a different opinion. 😂😂😂
Nice one!
Enjoyed this one as well! Look forward to the next one. Cheers👍
Fantastic series so far. They seem decent guys as well. Keep up the great content
Thank you - will do…
Briiliant vid Andy, Well done. Can't wait for the next part to come our way
Thanks Paul - coming on Thursday!
Thanks Matt!
Do not agree in Wales its not the case when you were a cop if a senior citizen was doing a so called 32 in a 30 what woiuld you have done ?? would you also have
hidden in a horse box and jumped up with your speed gun fact just outside Mold !!!!!!!! Well this happened to me and my motherinlaw so I dont go with this bullshit sorry !!
and if you do not beleive me look at historic news paper clips What does mostly to the limits mean in England sensible cops in Wales cops with nothing better to do !!!!!!!!!
Just give them a ticket makes us look good safety and all that yea !!!!!!!!!!!!!
...I don't know the answer to that one...
@@TheMissendenFlyer Thanks Andy
Thoroughly enjoying the series TMF. I grew up in the area but it's extremely interesting getting the police's viewpoint. Great stuff!
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching…
Nice one!
Agreed - these boys know how to ride!
A really enjoyable second episode of your time with the guys in Wales. The editing must take hours but the end result is amazing. And then it ended. Roll on episode 3. Great work.
Thank you Damien, appreciate the kind comment…
Thanks for the Police view Andy. They genuinely seem like decent folks who still want you to be able to have fun on your bike. Just dealing with the eejits!
My pleasure Tahir - and that is exactly what they are, they are bikers too!
"Look at th .. " ... opps.
Hey Mr Flyer, how is Mrs Flyer doing with her lessons ?
Any progress ?
That’s a really good question
Not much to report thus far - update in due course!
@@TheMissendenFlyer well, I hope she doesn't lose heart and not continue, it would be great to see you both riding on a tour.
Good luck to her.
@@Terry-S-7 Yes I don't want to push her so it's entirely her choice - lock downs and then this rubbish weather hasn't really been conducive to learning to ride - she's not given up yet though so never say never!!
Cheers Andy! Cracking vids! I'm very much enjoying these episodes, esp, since I have lived 7 years in Wales and loved it, can't beat those roads and scenery!! Hats off to these excellent bikers, the Fuzz, and re-affirming that my loud cans are just that, Loud.
Do you live in wales if not dont get confused these fuzzz as you put it will spank your ass in a second and smile as they do it I live here !!!!!!!!!!!!
@@allanhughes7859 Hahaha, very aware of that and then some! Cheers!
The steak pie at the Ponderosa cafe is absolutely fantastic, just like the scenery and roads.
Thanks for the tip! Next time…..
Number 1 With Britain 's number 1 Motorcycle Vlog!
Looking forward to the next episode. Lots of good information, especially around there choice of clothing 👍
Cheers.
Very cool!
Really enjoying watching these episodes, very informative and interesting, you are doing a great job.
Thank you!
Ooooo, left us with a cliff hanger! Loving this series. Haven’t got to part three yet but wondering if you asked them about their off duty biking? So what they ride etc.
Really digging this series, Mr. TMF!
Hood to hear!
Andy this may have already come up and apologies if it has. Are you planning to post maps of your routes. Thanks. Great informative video👍
No not planning too - mainly 'cos I haven't the foggiest where we went!
Very interesting video , just a thought is it wise to have the CRF's strapped down compressing the forks while in storage ?
Great video
This makes me miss riding my moped with my mates a few years back.
Hi Alan and Radio North Wales!
Nice to see the A5 spent a lot time on it travelling to the boat at Holyhead 👍🏍🌋🌲
I love these videos because it shows that the majority of police are decent human beings just don't be a plonker and they will leave you alone.
Exactly
Really enjoying this series. Great roads to ride and fantastic scenery. On a nice sunny day, especially weekends and bank holidays, the Ponderosa gets very busy with bikers. Ride safe.
Yes I bet - cheers Philip!
Very good that is famtastic info and so good to see the Police engaged totally with getting the message out , thanks for all that from you all , supwr vid.
Cheers!
Another great video. I was really hooked and waiting to see what was going to be said to the 5 bikers then "to be continued" damn lol.
Great insight into the traffic bikes world.
I really enjoyed this Andy. Seems like really nice guys
They are....providing you obey the law! (which seems fair enough to me).....
@@TheMissendenFlyer Totally agree. They are only doing their job. 👍
nice work Andy...... great vid and congrats to the boys in blue..... seeing humans for a change!!
Thanks Andy, a very enjoyable trip and no chance of being pulled over lol. :>)
Enjoyed this film greatly. I'm very lucky to live in Shropshire, not far away. I moved up from London nearly 20 years ago and absolutely love the scenery in North Wales, awesome riding. The Ponderosa has been the meeting point for many a trip.
how many tickets have you got if none well done you are the lucky one !!!!!!!!!
@@allanhughes7859 so far so good!
A great bunch of cops there.Totally fair in there attitude.A noticeable difference with our SA cops is that our cops are properly armed. Cheers.
Despite some of the comments in these last two videos I really think the UK police are some of the best in the world....

Fabulous video once again! Great insights
Thanks Andy!
Wales is a beautiful place to ride rain or shine, I must go there one day.
You definately should John!
You passed it at 10:39 episode 1, but edited the video at that moment so it wasn't visible. I'm with a group from Royston and we plan to visit there (as well as the Ponderosa) in September. They've had a spread in MCN and are well represented on Trip Advisor.
Passed what?
Another quality video very enjoyable thank you Andy
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching David....
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching....
Just when I suggest your channeling your Alan Partridge you start this with “AHA!”
Nothing wrong with a bit of Partridge....

Glad you enjoyed it
Andy, this is a great series. I am really enjoying it. I think it is terrific that you were able to spend a day or two with Welsh MC Cops.and get to know them. My sense is that UK cops are more open and down to earth than Canadian or US police…my impressions anyway!
Glad you enjoyed it James! Next one on Thursday....
Position 1,2,3 they teach you when you do your advanced motorcycle test. Great video.
Glad you liked it!
Very very good, lots of good tips, nice guys

Agree on the exhausts , but not only bikes where i live very loud car exhausts seem to be on the increase with the younger generation,
Yes good point!
Great couple of vids, fancy leaving us with a bit of a cliffhanger 😆😆
Nice of the North Wales police to block the electric vehicle charging points when you stopped at Rhug Estates! ;-) Recognised many of the roads, thanks for the video - looking forward to part 3.
I'm sure we would have moved if an electric vehicle turned up to use them....
I have to say, owain's roadcraft was brilliant.
Agreed!
Thumps up 4 you guys. That was fun 😁
Another great vid Andy looking forward to the next, I like how you put the question of exhaust noise after seeing the Harley 😉
Glad you spotted that!

If I see someone with a broken light i will always try to let them know. It's nice to be nice
You must be busy then.
I do sometimes. They ask which side and when you say off or near side you often get a blank look. Driver or passenger side it is then!
try telling that to some of the welsh police !!!
Cheers.
Glad to be of help Peter!
Dont come to wales on that Well unless you dont mind getting a ticket that is and then please make another comment re Welsh police and how understanding they are ?
So Allan, Obviously you had a ticket or two from the Welsh Constabulary and you’re not in agreement with their decision.
@@peterhird3542 Only one but that was bad enough L.O.L.........Things are getting better here but we did go through a very very bad patch not good for the economy

Great informative series. Can’t wait for episode 3. Nice variety on your channel sir. How about some more flying?
Not sure I'm any the wiser Ron but thanks for trying to explain!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Avoid the American West and you should be fine. :D
(pardon the lack of a missing ' in you're above - oops :D )
It seems that it is possible to have a bike that is legally illegal, work that one out 🤷🏻♂️
Google might help. (Other search engines are available). Interesting question.
I wish I could!
Scenery looks amazing, must get to Wales at some point
Yes you must!
Thanks for the Clean Andy, that works.
No problem 👍
