This is one of the best makeup reviews I've ever seen. Your lighting and camera work is so helpful. And when you do a "close up," you really do a close up. Great work.

After using Sigma and Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks and MAC paint pots as my eyeshadow bases for quite a while, I switched back to my Milani primer after watching one of your videos. It really is a good primer; glad I gave it another shot. I'll have to give the Covergirl one a try if I can find it. Thank you for taking the time to review and compare all of these products!
As someone with oily and hooded eyelids, thank you for doing this! I have the Milani one and can confirm it is a good primer. Could you next do the prestige brand eye primers? I recommend trying the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot (in a non-glitter shade) and Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
It was good seeing you back, Stephanie! You are one of the best reviewers because of your dedication in testing the products (i.e., with or without primer). I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I have oily mature eyelids. If I use a dry formula it exaggerates my crepey texture. I also have discolored lids so I need a tinted one that is not a too dry formula
Thank you so much for your time in making this video!! I only recently discovered that my eyes were ‘hooded’ and now I understand why I’ve had such difficulty with eye makeup - thank you gif the tips and product reviews!
I love your videos and these whole series. No one has ever done such a detailed analysis on each and every product out there. I always watch your videos before buying stuff. Love your recommendations ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Found your page on accident trying to find a review on the Milani eyeshadow primer. I ended up watching this whole series and love that you followed it up with a review on “rating” on all of them. As a bride, in Texas, that doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, drugstore brands are going to be go to for my makeup look. I’ve decided to go with the Revlon eye primer. Thank you so much for all that you’ve done for this series! I’m off to watch some more of your tutorials now because hooded eyes!
Drugstore prices are about 60-80% of the other brands prices, so I would definitely keep an eye out on Sephora or Ulta sales, or even the Brands themselves, their own personal websites, will sometimes have like 25% off sales... depending on when your wedding is, you might be able to wait and catch one of those seasonal sales There are some very good products and Drug stores, but when it comes to skin products, especially foundation, it's better to get a product that matches your skin tone... If you're having a wedding where you're going to get really sweaty, I would definitely look into the Urban Decay New Foundation that they have, the one that says it self setting... It's not a cheap foundation, but it comes in a lot more shades that would likely match your skin, and I literally wore it, and even though I was sweating all day, it stayed on... but even if it was self-setting, I still added a little bit of powder and the T-Zone and forehead.. But it's also a bummer because the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation was literally 20% off 2 days ago
im just in the intro (but i just watched one of the other episodes). *thank you for doing this.* honestly the stuff is all overwhelming, reviews are so mixed, and trying to test them all out as one person is so expensive and to do that across MANY products???? i think there's a tall bridge out there with my name on it.
Exceptional review! Your descriptions and video inserts are perfection. I’m an oily hooded eyed gal as well and have only ever found the Milani primer to work for me. I don’t set it, and have never had any issues with creasing. But I literally use the smallest amount… like half a grain of rice for both eyes. I have never seen the Covergirl primer, so I’ll be trying that one for sure! Thank you so much for your incredible content ❤
Well done. As an older woman with oily lids, everything ends up under my eyes at the end of the day. I really liked your presentation. what kind of setting powder do you use?
just a heads up.... the pink color used for the price was not very eyecatching and i missed it until halfway through the video. maybe if you flashed it down more towards bottom or mid screen, or amped up the color it would help. it was in THE most far away corner. alternatively, if you wrote out the name of the product AND the price, it's enough text to make you see it whether on top or bottom (generally bottom). white is a great color for this, too. anyway, just wanted to mention as you might not realize and you did put the effort in to add the info. white would pop more on your subtle colorations in your vid. (ps absolutely loving the format and info and testing. i keep missing the prices though and having to rewind since my eyes are on the center of the screen and the price isn't flashy. it's practically camou! lol) EDIT: actually a small white name of the brand AND the price the entire time would be the *most* helpful. i'm sitting at 6:57 and thinking "no, wait, how much was this one, though?" assessing on the fly, price vs how well it works. sometimes you have to take a few hits if you don't have cash. and i saw from going back that a $4 performed better than a $12 in one case. so that would let someone know the facts the whole time which would be more user friendly. love that you put "10hr check in" and stuff like that instead of JUST saying it. all that helps. (ok, i'm done. but still REALLY great work and super impressive!)
Which one is the best for keeping your eyeliner on while you’re wearing sunscreen? I’ve been wearing sunscreen every day and my eyeliner raccoons on me.
WOW!! I dont know of you have seen the video/tip of putting eye shadow primer on your nose to prevent oil from coming through throughout the day?? Which one would you recommend ?!?!? Keep it up!!!
I found this video because I'm back on the hunt for primer after my Revlon Colorstay just keeps failing me over and over haha I used to love Urban Decay and just wanted something less expensive but I might have to just suck it up and hope they haven't changed the formula
Thank you for the video. Very informative and useful. What Setting Powder do you use for your eye lids? I did not find this information in this video. thanks!
as an aside... you're supposed to be able to use aloe as a base as well.... currently trying that since i don't have concealer to try. on as we speak. will see how it does. (desperate times, yanno? it was pre this video which will honestly probably make me insta-buy something...)
Have you tried the essence eyeshadow primer? I heard it was comparable to the classic urban decay primer potion. Since you’ve tried a lot of other popular ones, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
Do you have any recommendations for mid tier brands? I’m looking for something that is almost waterproof as I have sensitive eyes that ruin any eyeshadow on my lower lash line
I just ordered the cover girl to germany :P Have you got a holy grail liquid eyeliner for hooded eyes? Ive tried so many!! and they all smudge or transfer to my lids. I am going to try them with a primer and cross my fingers. But I would love to know your holy grail liquid liner.
i really don’t like the cover girl primer. it makes me look older because it settles in the wrinkles and creases in my eyelid and i’m only 26… i actually kind of hate this product 😅

Same here. I wished someone would do a tutorial on these issues. ❤

But there are some very amazing drugstore products, but things like eyeshadow, and skin products, you might want to invest in
I haven't been able to find the CoverGirl primer anywhere for a long time. I haven't checked Amazon yet though. That's my favorite printer as well
Gosh darn it, I was going to pick up the covergirl primer during ulta's early black Friday sale but didn't. Maybe next time
thank you for the work you put into this!! I just subscribed.
Thank you so much 🥰
You’re my QUEEN for doing this series!
im just in the intro (but i just watched one of the other episodes). *thank you for doing this.*

Please make a drugstore cream bronzer wars video! Plz and waterproof eyeliner!

Can you do glitter primers next?
Hi there! Fellow oily eyelids here! Curious if you have a favorite primer for stick foundation?….or is it too the CG one?
Amazing makeup review! Absolutely loved it
Really enjoy your videos! ❤️🌹🥰
Thank you so much!! ☺️
Love the info and detailed analysis! I was getting pretty tired of the phrases "like butter" and "at the end of the day" by mid-video.
Can you do a high-end version?
Which one is the best for keeping your eyeliner on while you’re wearing sunscreen? I’ve been wearing sunscreen every day and my eyeliner raccoons on me.
That's a good question...I second that
Thank you for this video! It was so informative and just well organized. Have you tried the ulta matte eyeshadow primer?
WOW!! I dont know of you have seen the video/tip of putting eye shadow primer on your nose to prevent oil from coming through throughout the day?? Which one would you recommend ?!?!? Keep it up!!!

I don't find the urban decay at all able to stand up to my oily eyelids. Such a bummer

Babe, which one is good for dry lids, drugstore and high end?glitter glue also?...looking good🎉
Have you tried the essence eyeshadow primer? I heard it was comparable to the classic urban decay primer potion. Since you’ve tried a lot of other popular ones, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

Do you have any recommendations for mid tier brands? I’m looking for something that is almost waterproof as I have sensitive eyes that ruin any eyeshadow on my lower lash line
so pretty! you look like a Texas girl!! 💗
I just ordered the cover girl to germany :P Have you got a holy grail liquid eyeliner for hooded eyes? Ive tried so many!! and they all smudge or transfer to my lids. I am going to try them with a primer and cross my fingers. But I would love to know your holy grail liquid liner.
Can you believe there was anything now covered here? 😮 Trish McEvoy and Clinique Touch Base
Do they still make the photo focus? All I see anymore is the megalast.
Thank you!!!!
i really don’t like the cover girl primer. it makes me look older because it settles in the wrinkles and creases in my eyelid and i’m only 26… i actually kind of hate this product 😅
Thank you so much !!!
You're welcome!😁
wet n wild used to be great but they changed the formula recently that it no longer work for my oily eyes
❤❤❤❤❤
I was so disappointed. My eyes had a terrible reaction to the Milani eye primer
Im 90% sure that wet n wild is the one i had issues with! There must be an allergen in there!
I use the white Makeup Revolution it takes to long to dry
❤
