  • Time lapse of me wrapping a subwoofer box for a 2016 Honda Accord Sport followed by a slideshow of some highlights of the build. The video can get a little boring during the slideshow, but at least you get to listen to the smooth jams of Mike Kalombo. This was by far the most ambitious build I've done. I'm hoping to get a video of it in action in the future. I'm more than likely going to get an audio processor to replace the crossover and LOC sometime.
    A lot of techniques from the build I learned from CarAudioFabrication. Check out that channel as well

    Damn man, the attention to detail on this build! VERY clean execution and routing of the wires. And still have ample amounts of space. Great job man! 🤘

    What makes this even more impressive is that he did it all at home in his garage by himself. True talent props to you. You can make a business out of this cause people would pay a lot of money for work like this.

      Thank you! It’d be nice to have the time to work on other people’s stuff. It does keep it less stressful when I only have to deal with my own projects.

    Really Nice work! I'm jealous with your work area i wish to have something like that in the garage someday....

      Thanks man. It takes time to get it. And it’s really not as much work area as I’d like, but you gotta work with what you’ve got. It does make it easier to work though. I remember the builds I used to do where I had to go to my dads house to use his table saw and cut everything else out with a jigsaw.

    is the box built to spec ? any sound samples ? 9gen gang !

    • @AyyJayy02
      @AyyJayy02  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s build within manufacturer specs. No sound samples though. There are a lot of rattles that I need to track down. Plus I plan on cutting out the hole where the factory sub would go so I can get some bass into the car. Got a lot going on, so it’s been hard to get to that.

      @@AyyJayy02 was just going to ask how sound is supposed to get into the cabin instead of all sealed within the trunk. The rear decks are horrible rattle wise but foam insulation works well for padding and the clips that hold panels on loosen up and need tighter fitting clips but it's fixable.

    • @AyyJayy02
      @AyyJayy02  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a project for another day. I’m hoping I can find a rear deck for Accords that come with a subwoofer, and I planned on cutting out that hole where the factory woofer would be to let some sound in the car. I have to finish up some videos and some stuff with my truck before I work on that though.

    • @AyyJayy02
      @AyyJayy02  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did put a little bit of deadener under the rear deck panel, and it helped a bit with the rattle.

    How come you only put carpet padding on the sides? Just curious because I usually see it go all around. Looking to custom build one for my 2018 Mazda6

    • @AyyJayy02
      @AyyJayy02  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just wanted it to kinda match the carpet in the trunk and just have a “window” showing the audio equipment. It was my first time making trim pieces like that so I kept it on a smaller scale.

    • @rusteezy8786
      @rusteezy8786 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does the carpet effect the noise?

    • @AyyJayy02
      @AyyJayy02  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t really tell since it’s in the trunk. I’d imagine it would deaden the sound more than a harder material though.
