This is so helpful-Thank you so much! I had downloaded the app but though most of the app was in English the ticket info was in some weird code. You helped me know to switch from default to English then all worked perfectly. And your English is excellent!
Thank you so much. Very helpful. Your English is excellent. One question, if I buy the 72-hour pass, is the 100E airport bus to the city centre included in the pass?
I tried to validate the ticket while using tram in Budapest. The tram went by so quickly and with so many people rushing in and out, there is just not enough time to scan the QR code and try getting on the tram. On top of that, you can’t validate 2 tickets at the sane time for yourself and your spouse or your family. This app is just not practical for tourists!
Great video! I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind: Do you need to validate when you have a monthly / quarterly pass? What happens if your phone internet connection fails? If you're a tourist, do you need to carry your passport with you to prove you're the rightful holder of the pass? I'm trying to figure out the pros and cons of the app before my 3-month stay in Budapest in 2023. Thank you!
If you have a monthly pass you don’t have to validate except on buses when you can board on the first door and u have to show your pass to the driver. If you don’t have internet connection you can’t buy or validate but still can see the monthly pass in the app (but can’t validate) Passport: you don’t need that only the valid pass or ticket. If you have internet on your phone I think the app is better overall but you can buy paper passes also from the ticket machines. Which is better it depends on your taste
@@hogyankell8612 Can I also show the QR Code of a validated single ticket to the ticket inspector if I have no internet connection for some reason? I'm afraid having a bad or no mobile internet connection at all in some places (maybe metro lines).
Since I'm going to budapest for 4 days what is the best ticket for it? they only have the 24h / 72h or 7 days card. Do you think , taking more in attention of value for money to get the 7 days one? even if i only use it for 4days ?
Why the need to validate if it's electronic ticket? Using HSL app in Finland you don't need to validate, same with Poland using your App. Seems kind of just an extra way to fine people? 😭
If you buy a ticket for 2 people how do you validate that as it will be one ticket on one phone? Sorry if that’s a silly question. Or are we better having two tickets on two phones? Thanks
Excellent information and as an English person there is nothing wrong with your grasp of our language
