I was going to get the Standard yamaha stage custom but after seeing this I think I am going to get it. I just need it to play at home and the smaller size would be awesome.
Incredibly well done video. Do those pro mesh heads match with the Arborea low volume cymbals in terms of volume? Did you left the original reso heads on the drums or not?
Thank you very much! The pro mesh heads are actually the "loudest" drum-tec mesh heads available, which is a good thing for the practice kit/hybrid setup, as the drums do still have a sound with the original reso heads on. Yet, they are more silent than the Arborea cymbals or any other metal low noise cymbals. Please feel free to get in touch through experts@drum-tec.de for further assistance if you like. Kind regards!
The overhead sound of the low volume kit is pretty good. Why did you go with the Arborea cymbals? Better than the zildjans? Have you tried just a bit of tape on top of the mesh heads. Does it really improves the sound? Thanks
Hey Edgar, the Arboreas are a nice affordable alternative, you can get a more comprehensive overview on all kinds of low noise cymbals over here if you like: th-cam.com/video/BdkTkA_GKa4/w-d-xo.html I think tape on mesh heads would make no sense honestly, as there is no tone/sustain from the heads that would be muffled? Kind regards!
Hi, you can find the kit over here: www.drum-tec.com/tama-ead10-hybrid-drum-tec-edition You might get it from drum-tec with or without the triggers/sound module. Please feel free to get in touch through experts@drum-tec.de for an individual quote on any custom kit configuration including international shipping if you like. Kind regards!
I recently added the Yamaha EAD10 to my tama club jam with mesh heads and I can’t seem to get the kick trigger to respond to a bass h it, I’ve tried using a separate trigger on the kick and it works, could there be something I’m doing wrong with the kick sensor?
I have the exact same kit. Are you able to get realistic sounds from just the mic and module with mesh heads and low volume cymbals? (Other than the bass issue). Trying to decide if I should get individual triggers or if the EAD does the trick on its own
i came here for the ead, but ended up totally blown away with the drumming.
This drumming is so top notch. Love the touch and feel. Ghost notes and symbol work are suberb.

How does this module work in a live setting?
any mis-triggering or interference from a PA or Bass/ Guitar jamming in the same room?
Nice. How well are those DT50s Triggering, compared to dedicated E-Drum Pads?
The overhead sound of the low volume kit is pretty good.

@@robmcintosh8323 you can get close but you have a lot more control over the sounds with triggering each drum individually
Man that kick drum wiggles too much for me and I play all the flagship Yamaha drums.
Amazing!!! how did you set the tom¨s sound?
what is the snare mic?
Hey Gabriele, I am using an AT AE2300 at my studio. Kind regards!
