Thanks for the great and clear video. This helped me when I installed the bracket holding the LVDS connector into place upside down and affected how the bottom cover closed. Thanks!
DO YOU REALIZE THAT YOU ASSEMBLED THE INTERPOSER BOARD THE WRONG WAY? THE CORNER WITH THE ARROW MUST MATCH THE ARROW ON THE MOBO. YOU PLACED IT THE OPPOSITE WAY.
Thanks for this tutorial. I have a similar display issue but the panel is working completely fine but in certain angles the led light turns off. I figured the issue is with the connecting ribbon, not the panel itself. Do you know if there any way to get the ribbon only and can this be resolved without changing the panel ? Technicians in my city told me that they cant replace the ribbon without replacing the display because it cant be opened. I would be greatful if i can fix this without paying for the new display.
Theoretically the LCD can be removed but I won't recommend you to try it as you have VERY HIGH chances to crack the display in the process. If you decide to try it and you're successful in opening it, DM me and I can sell you just the cable itself.
thanks for the video, recently my dell xps 13 9315 camera has stoped working out of nowhere, and the infra red indicator light suddenly turned on. I've tried pretty much everything to fix this but still not working, even the dell support agents couldnt figure out what happened. so im considering to replace the whole screen bcs the camera on this laptop is inseperable with the screen itself. Can you give me the link of the screen replacement that you bought.
Super helpful video. We were able to replace the screen without any issues. Thanks!!

Do u know where the smos battery is located?
Most modern laptops do not have a CMOS battery. They just use the internal battery for that.
