Lol me being a tech myself for different brand , my dealer for cf moto told me they had to do the valve adjustment for warranty and I said bs , but I played along took it , little did they know I covered the bolts with heat tape , when they were done I inspected , and my tape was still there , needles to say I got a free service and valve adjustment out of it when I was done with the service manager lol

My dealer said don't bother with it till 2000 miles and said doing my own service wont void the warranty. I have always done that stuff myself. Great job on the video's you have turned into a professional.

My 800xc had been adjusted twice both times they said a couple valves where tight...first time at 300 km second at 2500 km . Being told to baby it at break in with amsoil in it will produce a slow break in period I believe.

  • @OpenAirAdventure

I did mine early. They were fine. Might do them again sometime. Right now it sounds great, starts great and works great. Almost 2000 miles.

Does the engine need to be removed?

  • @rcclassiccrawlers4368

I checked my own at 200 miles. They were set perfect. No need to adjust. I’ve got slightly over 1500 miles now and it runs perfect. If I notice it run differently or hear some clattering I’ll definitely go in and check everything out and adjust if necessary.

Hi friend I want to ask that mine 1000 Zforce I see one slender head (front side) exhaust pipe it’s glow red but the other slender exhaust it’s fine no red so do I need valve adjustment or there something other reason I really no idea could you help me I appreciate you thanks

  • @opie7afe

Perfect timing, was going to do mine at 500+ miles..yeah i really dont want to take 75% of the plastics off so i think ill wait a bit and just do the diff fluids.

  • @FOGELL_TheGreat

To bar over the engine do you just take that round side cover off on the passenger side ?

  • @43dukedog

My dealer said they don’t do it at break in he said if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it might make it worse

  • @Gokywildcats11

    Thanks for your honesty

  • @FANATICALSIDERIDER

Awesome video Steve, you explained it so clear and easy. Thanks for the tutorial 🛻😊

  • @dustytrailswithepa

Great Video . I know what you mean , I had to adjust my 2021 at 200 miles , slightly out of spec. My Daughters 2022 we just going to change the fluids it sounds & runs Great so it don’t need all that. Keep up the good videos

  • @jeffreyseverson1623

Thanks for this one. I just bought mine new, but will never go back to my local dealer. This was the one break in item, that I wasn't sure about doing myself.

  • @patricklambert5810

    Good stuff!🎉

  • @timleinart1645

GREAT VID! Even an average non- shade tree mechanic like myself can do this! ( Just have to get through the plastic jungle and breaking tabs thing ). High quality presentation Steve! Thank you!🙌
