I appreciate the focal length of your camera. There is no fish-eye effect. This video has given me the best idea of how much of the road is visible while riding a faired Harley.

Glad it was helpful! No worries whether you can see enough road on these bikes - you can see everything. I’ve been riding these since 1995 and have never felt as if I was riding in the blind. I have the view set to ‘Wide’ - I found Linear was too narrow and didn’t show enough of the cockpit, and Super Wide or whatever GoPro calls it was definitely a fish eye effect. Wide seems to be the perfect view for on-bike and road ahead. Thanks for watching and commenting… 👍

The bat wing wobble - in 30k miles, never felt it. Ever

Facts...it's all bullshit...it's the superior fairing...

I'm with you for the Hydraulic clutch. Maybe the bike was dropped, which bend the handle bar.

If the front end wobbles or pulls, it’s probably the steering head bearing is either too tight (pulls) or too loose(wobble).

Thanks for the info because guess what - the new RGL I ended up getting also pulls to the left. I will have them look at it at the upcoming 1K service.

@@Hogdriver88 So, you have that and the DCT? I’m thinking of selling my 2012 GLHTK for a new Wing. I rode the DCT at Americade, and was super impressed with the ride quality and the smoothness of the power train. I also thought the exhaust note was beautiful. Only thing I’m concerned about is if I can get used to the foot position on the Honda, because the Harley is just about perfect.

I believe the steering head bolt is part of the 1 k service. Hold them accountable, it’s easy for dealers to not touch it, and get away with it. It’s happened to me.

@@Donfleebie1 I will definitely mention it to them. I've never had a bike pull to one side or the other - they have always tracked straight with hands off.

@@Donfleebie1 I was going to go to Americade this year, then go the week before instead, and did neither. Maybe next year. Long story, but I do own both. Finally sold the '15 FLHTK two months ago. 3 weeks later, had the RGL. Tried to leave HD, but it is better suited to my style of riding even though the Gold Wing is pure awesomeness. I may end up selling it now. Took me about 15 minutes to get used to the foot position of the GW on the first test ride - just couldn't find those pegs. It is very different than the HD. You will get it though. And highway pegs are an absolute must for the Wing so you can stretch out.

I agree with you on the hydraulic clutch and cable clutch comparison. I ran an advanced motorcycle course with the hydraulic and had no problems. My friends tell me it all comes down to if your a one headlight guy or two between the two bikes. I never owned or test rode the road glide so I don’t know?

It’s only been a few hundred miles but I miss the hydraulic clutch. Still, the operation is the same - pull lever, shift, release lever - so it’s all good otherwise. While it’s true that it can come down to looks, the proof is in the riding. I’ve owned 2 bat wings and 2 Road Glides, and there is a difference. See if you can arrange a side by side test ride - that’s the best way to tell. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I've ridden both. I really like them both. I could be happy with either but it came down to the guage set up. i really like having all the guages where i can easily see them (I'm getting older) & without looking down.

Indeed they are. And the Road Glide was the smoothest of the two... Thanks for watching and commenting!
