Great place to fish, lots of mackerel. Also have had good luck with snook there every time I’ve caught them was at night and when it was raining, but for whatever reason they like that combo free lining greenback.
Great video igot on some bull reds on last week caught 2 of them one was 34 inches and another 4o inches now I see u cT h great snook too skyway best spot here so random fish thanks for another great video
Small suggestion that could help some of us figure out timing to fish and conditions.. maybe on screen at start you could put date and time? 🙏 cheers buddy. Not as much time to fish lately have to be strategic.
I don’t understand the spinning rod setups for bigger fish? Old timer here who fished the old Gandy bridge in the 70s before they closed it down. We used Penn 209s on med/ heavy rods. Easily castable and we landed multiple 10-20lb ,snook, cobia and the occasional unwanted tarpon. My experience tells me you’re not stopping a 15lb snook on any type of spinning rod, but what do I know? The bigger fish would scarf down a 1lb porgy and you were not about to stop them from hitting the pilings and cutting you off.
Nice surprise catch! Excellent title Bush and great timing on publishing this one.
Bite is on my friend get ready for the skyway 😀💪

Appreciate you watching. Reds are really thick on the flats. Are you ready for the grouper season 😀💪
Hi. Thanks for posting your videos. So is it better to use a line without a sinker?
On outgoing good moving current free line is much better
Awesome video my brother. And some amazing catches
Appreciate you my friend pretty soon I'm planning a trip down south 😀💪
@FishOnChannel Sounds good, ill be here to join
Great video. Im coming to Tampa for work this week. Im looking to fish in the afternoon and evening for snapper. Where should Go?
@@HogSniper48 appreciate you watching Skyway Fishing Pier or Fort desoto pier will be your best option 😀💪

Not being smart but when it’s(tide) moving, spend some time on a marina just watching how the tide works, you’ll see the changes
Timing is never the same my friend depends what time, tide of the day which changes every day. For grouper is better on outgoing 😀💪
😀
@@FishOnChannel fish on my friend, are you interested in showing me how to fish in skyway I can pay you $250 for 5 hours?
@@cleberlimas6359 we can make that happen 😀💪
Have you every fished the skyway at night? If not could you and maybe some videos from the north side skyway.
I never done it but I'm getting some proper lights I might start doing that as well 😀💪
Great video
Thank you
Do you catch your pinfish from the pier in the same areas ?
Yes plenty of pinfish in there😀💪
Way to wait him out! 💪

We got those big snappers at Sebastian in the last video I was there
Appreciate you watching my friend
Snook on the skyway?!? Bite is on fire 🔥 🔥 🔥
Hope the bite is good tomorrow for the grouper season 😀💪
We have been out here Friday, Saturday, and today Monday and nobody is catching anything but BAIT the last 3 days. Ugh….
Yeah I was there Sunday it looked pretty bad. And Tide was wrong.
what’s the heavy rod you’re using?
10,000 size reel extra heavy rod fast action

🌴. 💪🏼 “ FISH ON “ ! 👈🏼👍🏼. Yep ,there’s just something about wrestling pier monsters that’s just plain fun.! Did you cast net bait there?
@@davescheer5038 I did plenty of bait on the pier. It's always fun dragging them from the rocks 😀💪
Bush, fellow skyway fisherman here. What length leader do you use and what pound test do you suggest.
Grazie
@@aclayton231 I tried to stay above 5-8 in between 60 to 100 for leader line

We have to drag them out of those Rock piles 😀💪
Bro these new spinning reels are capable of a lot more than an old school 209 .
My biggest spinner has 50lbs of drag. They’ve come a long way.
