As a patron, and I'm sure every patron agrees with me, I'm here for the entire journey, not just the photography. I hope this can relieve you of the pressure of getting the photos! Your content is soothing to the soul and I'm here for all of it!
I think you are absolutely brilliant doing your filming the wild animals I really do hope you can get the scrials forest , I do hope little ROO is ok , and you carry on making lots more fantastic videos please stay safe and well done ✔✔ ,from David ps your really great 👍👍👍👍👍your brilliant
You know that if you are registered in Sweden and your business as well, you can get a loan to buy the forest. So maybe that will partially help in buying the forest.
Dani, as I said previously, once you have an open application, you can stay here until Migrationsverket conclude the application process. This too would not use up any of your 90 in 180 day allowance. Did you look at changing your application for an Article 50 rather than Non European? Another benefit is that you can still work whilst the application is pending. Please don't feel disheartened, it's a slow process, I know, but it's worth coming back as soon as you can. I'll happily help with the decorating once you do return.
More power to you!! Greetings from a German dog photographer living in Denmark now to fulfil my passion of clicking 🐶 photos.. #DogLove I love squirrels ♥️🌷
I looove animals so much. Dogs especially. I am glad you posted this! Is there an oportunity to have your adress, so i can contact you for making foto's of dogs, if i can make my dream come true and have a dog related business to save dogs. Thank you so much if you would consider it. Good dog fotographers are not easy to find, who love to take pictures of dogs.❤ My grandmother was Danish, but she emugrated to Bremen and married a German and my father emigrated from Bremen to Zwitserland and after that to Belgium. I live in Belgium, but would like to emigrate to Sweden, living in nature. Anyway, i hope you are fine in Danmark! Vriendelijke groeten.🇧🇪
I absolutely adore you. I know you said why you were able to get so close to the fox was because of the fence, and that their pretty used to the presence of people, but I think it's because it is you! You just have this nature calmness about you, all of the animals, all from red squirrels, fox, to every bird imaginable can sence that they can trust you. I love watching you videos, and I am always looking forward for the next one. Thank you for making another great one. ❤
Also agree. I often approach cats and dogs and the owners are like normally they don't like other people. I pick up cats and the owner is like.....what!! normally they just fight it off?? It's all in the way you approach, interact., calm hands. I guess they know you are there for them.
Please don’t feel pressured if the shots don’t come through, i think I speak for us all when I say we just love your content, whatever that maybe and wherever the journey takes us.
I know this is a year on, have you considered the benefits of keeping the Forest and fame it could generate for the man that owns it, if you haven't already come up with a deal. Also, if he has any outlying land that could potentially be use ( Carefully) as an Animal Wildlife observation area, kinda like Reserve sanctuary but with obvious restrictions on movement, just a thought, great job your doing all the same 😊👍
i was taken a-back when i saw the title of this video. Great video. you should look into a working visa to bridge the stay gap, just remember to register for tax there otherwise youll pay double tax. As a note, i really appreciate you talk to us the viewrs, and not to a screen on the side of the camera as so many others do.
Lovely video Dani and the pictures of the Foxes were great. Due to working as a taxi driver in and around London mostly through the early hours i seen loads of foxes in places you wouldn't believe. One story i was parked up near Charing Cross station waiting for a passenger when i sore this adult fox just walking down along the embankment. As this was around midnight there were still a lot of people about and it wasn't taking a blind bit of notice of them just eating the scraps of food that had been dropped.
Dani, I think nearly every professional photographer feels the pressure to produce work. Please don't feel disheartened if you don't get the shots you want. I hope you manage to stay in your Swedish house for longer and that you manage to save the forest from the chainsaw.
As a patreon I don't want you to feel pressured to produce content. I absolutely just love seeing the journey you're going on. Also on the side of how to explain to someone how to become a photographer I agree as I'm also a photographer but in live music so trying to explain to someone how to become a photographer I think they need to find something they're passionate in and see what's out there to help them follow that passion un the field of photography they want to do.
You've got a somewhat out off the box sense of humor. Great story, great house, great surroundings. Nature all around you, nothing more to wish for as photographer.
What a wonderful Q&A! So much details about your life, your journey and you. I love your videos. For me, from Germany and only 5 years in learning englisch in school it's really easy to listen you. Thank you for your content 🙏! 😍
Watching this video gave me hope for life and made me happy for a while in a very deep way. Thank you very much Dani, keep doing your thing and being your true self❤
13 days until I get to turn my squirrel calendar to March! Having a job you enjoy is the most wonderful thing, you would not be where you are if you did not push yourself to grow and improve, just make sure you don't let the pressure become too much. Watching your videos is so incredibly relaxing, your narration style very easy listening and your photography perfectly captures emotion and movement. The botfly story sounds like a fun adventure and made me laugh but perhaps its not an adventure you want to repeat.
A lovely video Dani and I am sure many people would agree with me that do not feel pressurized about not being able to produce shots on your trips, your content of what ever you get and do is lovely. Enjoy your 3 weeks and can not wait to see your photography of it all. Have a safe trip.
Must have missed when you told us why you moved to Sweden of all places. You've travelled so much and must have seen so many lovely places, not to mention the UK (which I love).
These pictures from Skomer make me feel homesick. I did my PhD in Cardiff and spent some amazing time on this island, live in beautiful switzerland now. Still, Wales is kind of a second home to me.
Thank you for the video. Nice pics/videos. We feed foxes in our garden, but they tend to come along in the dark. Occasionally in daylight though. we live in the suburbs. Nice to see wild animals in the garden, especially when the cubs came along too.
I love northern sweden, but I also had an attraction to the tropics so I went to Peru, to Manu national park. Once there, exept the fantastic nature I also met my becoming wife ! She was american, just as me just visiting as a tourist. I love your videos, you show the forest life very nice ´particulary the winter time there. Dont give up on the squirrels.
I picked up a Bot Fly larvae on my right shoulder (sore from backpack strap). I could feel it munching around in there. My mom ended up squeezing it out when I got back to the UK- I didn't tell her what it was, and she just about lost it when out popped Charlie the maggot. - Yeah you have to name them. If you need assistance to buy the forest I will help you fund it. I have hand planted over 2200 trees in the past 20 years, so I'll happily help you to preserve your parcel.
I miss shooting portraits for Olan Mills back in early 00s. They took the art out and I moved to regional manager til 08. They then laid off 60percent. I went to work for nothing at Walmart then. In 2010. Smartphones with their software prowess , started being fun to mess with. I got into smartphones and video etc. Now I use pixel 4xl. I do want a DSLR though. A decent one. And do some outdoor music. I love the squirrel population we have here in our area. Hahah. My pup and I walk often and I'll film off and end birds and last year oddly a rare flying baby squirrel landed on my camper. I nursed it to health. I hope he made it.
We live on the edge of a forest and we often get foxes. I'm no photographer, I can barely operate a camera phone. But we used to let our dogs in the garden all night and we found they spooked the foxes in the early morning so we keep them inside now to allow the foxes to come around.
I loved this video. I've seen a few of your videos and just now subscribed to your channel. I appreciate the wildlife and your manner of speaking. Thank you.
Your videos are always so engaging, allowing us to keep up with your amazing life's adventures. I am sorry that your time in Sweden has to be complicated, but am glad you're definitely making the best of it. Oh to stay at Dani's bnb.. The foxes have such a beautiful and deep gaze; it must really be something to be so near. I'm looking forward to the next chapters of your story. 💜
Remember my dear . Squirrels are people. And people are squirrels too. Wherever you go. Take great pictures. Continue to be reminds with animals, and enjoy your live wherever it takes you. ☮️
Have you thought about a Kickstarter or Patreon for buying the forest land - I'm sure you'd get people interested in donating to this? Surely keeping the forest is more important than having the trees cut down.
Love love the cinematography and mood. However, that interlude where you talk about your pet (Jaws!) was simply hilarious. You've nurtured that pet and let it grow. But I'm sure you didn't cry when he died! A very funny story the way it was told. Your storytelling and cinematography are perfect, keep at it, you're on track!
I didn’t expect to stay for the whole thing…. I was wrong, I am fascinated and humbled by everything I heard. I’m officially a fan now and subscribed, not just a random recommendation anymore.:))
What a fun video! Especially the part about the botfly. My partner who is an urgent care physician had taken one out of someone and I was mortified to hear of it. I love how you have named it. The foxes are adorable!
I love your channel and how you share your life as a photographer. Particularly as I've friends who have a house further south in rural Sweden. Good luck with your Swedish and photography endavours
I think it should be illegal to cut down forest if you can prove there's ample wildlife active in the area and that the trees can be considered home for said wildlife. We need to take more care of our remaining forests and nature while we still can.
I had a tick in my leg. You do not squeeze them, you do not put stuff on them because, if you do, they vomit ore poisons into you. My daughter did an excellent job of removing the tick, but even so my wound got very angry, and the doctor prescribed to ointments for me to apply to the (tiny) wound.
Thanks for showing Jaws the Botfly! That's so cool! You're doing such amazing work and I'm glad I found your channel. If ever you're in Hawaii, please let me know. Take care and stay safe, Dani!.......and congratulations on you new house in Sweden! 🙂
Excellent loved the botfly story!! Big fan of the red squirrel here, reminds me of Scottish life. All the best and good on ya for buying the forest so it doesn’t get cut down
Dani I’m moved to tears by your work. New Sub here! We have a mutual friend, Kevin Popinjay from the UK. Hope to meet you someday, possibly in Abruzzo, Italy. Oh, I once befriended a squirrel 🐿 community. When I had to move away it was heartbreaking. Absolutely love your work and so happy to have found your channel.
Thank you for the upload. As a citizen of Sweden I wish I had a button to press to fix your visa situation. Your swedish home looks cozy. it´s just a couple of months of winter left then I hope you get new energy in the spring to put up wallpapers. Air B&B sounds cool, but yeah its probably a long term project. I wish you all well. (btw, the maggot was gross, but yet I couldn't look away)
I am really awed by how good this vid is. Covering so many topics and weaving them together into such an enjoyable piece. Well Done !!! If you ever want a base in Texas to work from, come see us. I won't even hold your loyalty to Canon against you. (I got my first Nikon F in 1960--still totally committed 🙂)
I mean, dont give up on getting wintertime photos and videos of squirrels, I think its pretty unusual to see them in northern sweden in winter. one quality you have is your voice, you are a great narrator !
Your photography is incredible. You are very talented too. I hope and pray that you will be able to purchase the forest where the squirrels live. Growing up I had no clue just how many different species of squirrels and other animals that inhabit our planet. Which is pretty silly when I think about it, but that was before the internet had been created and frankly most of the encyclopedias I had access to didn’t have the same types of resources that we now have access to. I wasn’t that interested in wildlife or animals other than what were around the different environments in my day to day life, but that was pretty common back in the 1970s. I literally only went to a zoo once as a child and four times as an adult and 3 of those times were with my students in third grade and once with my first grade students. I have actually learned more about wildlife and animals due to my daughter ‘s fascination with all animals which has resulted in us searching the internet, reading hundreds of books and watching videos and programs that feature the various different types and species of animals that she has wanted to learn more about. I have shared a number of your videos with her and we have both enjoyed them and it has given her ideas for her various art projects. She too is an extremely talented artist who creates hand draw artwork as well as digital and occasionally she has created sculpted pieces. I love seeing the many different mediums she has explored as well as the different pieces that she has created with them. She has recently started working with wool and felting it to create animals. Our art has always been a way for us to connect and learn from each other while also trying out new things. So thank you for sharing your work and the challenges that you have faced while trying to get that perfect shot.🦊🐿🦔🐆👍🏻❤️
Great video! Good luck with purchasing the forest and I love the red squirrels and foxes that you film. Which London park did you film the foxes at? I would love to see them myself at some point!
Again, thanks again to let us join on your journey. It's the mix what it makes your videos so interesting to watch. Btw, only cool people think cool as well. Well done and lovely fur noses at the end, well worth to cuddle.
Hi Dani 🤗 Such a great video, thank you for answering the questions, thats how we get to know you better, you are so nice and it's a lot of fun to watch your videos and your professionell photos , good spirit in it, thanks for sharing, see you in your next video and on Instagram.Your dog at the end is so cute, best lovely wishes from Andreas and Balou 🐕 ❤ 🌠 🐿
Dont feel pressured if you are not able to produce amazing shots on a journey! We love your content and keep up the good work!

I watch your channel not just for the photos but for your cool calm and beautiful self
Making a kind of nature reserve is such a splendid idea! In order to gain time, crowdfunding could work …
Just beautiful. Thanks Danni, you're a gem.. so honest and sweet.

Have you thought have setting up a funding page to purchase the squirrel forest?
What a fun video! Especially the part about the botfly. My partner who is an urgent care physician had taken one out of someone and I was mortified to hear of it. I love how you have named it. The foxes are adorable!
Dani is the best, she has a really charming engaging personality. I would love to know more about her Russian heritage
So lovely! Thank you for sharing your journey! It's precious! 🙏🏻💖🦊

Wow those foxes were beautiful 😍. What an experience!
Dani, your love for nature shows in every picture and you are literally going the extra mile to take them. BTW: Are there parakeets in London?
I loved the video! It was nice getting to know you better (: Interesting stories!
Incredible how close you got to the foxes! I would not have had the courage to get anywhere near them! The photos are amazing!
I am feeling inspired to get out more!
I really hope you get to buy squirrel forest, it’s an amazing sanctuary for all the wildlife there. 😊
As said before. I look forward to your amazing videos. I love the idea of a nature reserve for the forest
Love seeing your personality come out more and more :) Keep making the videos!

Hi Dani! Nice video showing the foxes being so close and not afraid of you🙂
I can’t quite put my finger on the exact reason(s) but you are so incredibly interesting to watch and listen too. Subscribed 👍
You are one of gods special good people!!!♥️👍🏻🙏🏻✌🏻
I have several fox skulls and a weasel skull. It's cool to run up on those things. Good luck with the purchase of the forest!
Omg thanks for sharing jaws with us, its was funny how you tried explaining how you grew him
Lovely video! Please don’t feel pressured. Love your content with or without a “trophy photo “. Amazing to see the foxes so close to humans 🦊
You and your pictures / videos are amazing. 😁👍
Jetson and Sean are precious!
Foxes are so beautiful!
You are very, very charming. Good luck with your new home!
Thank you for the upload. As a citizen of Sweden I wish I had a button to press to fix your visa situation. Не понимаю ни слова, но чувствую, что девушка добрая и позитивная. Ну а ее работы - выше всяких похвал.

Great video! Good luck with purchasing the forest and I love the red squirrels and foxes that you film. Which London park did you film the foxes at? I would love to see them myself at some point!
