    Love you and your videos.
The only thing scarier to me in the Bible than the story of Saul is the phrase
“Depart from me worker of iniquity, I never knew you”
Maybe that is part of the fear of the Lord and Saul lost his.
I pray I never lose mine.
    Thank you 🙏

    • @BibleUnbound
      @BibleUnbound  ปีที่แล้ว +8

Sure but you should read the context of Matthew 7:23! All of the workers work iniquity because they put their hope, trust, and faith...in their self righteousness. Jesus says "build your house upon me" and it will be impossible for you to work iniquity. The fact that it worries you means you're nothing like Saul at all who was never once concerned about God's spirit upon him.

I'm almost with you on that, the the thing that stumps me is every definition of person that I've found is human except one that reads "personality: self". God appeared in an image of a human before Christ but that was not a human being born of water. If Satan did the same thing in the garden, I'm not convinced that the definition of person can apply. I always said he entered a living vessel that God made to crawl and eat dust after the fall but you got me thinking about other possibilities.

You cannot comprehend fully the scripture how it was written without understanding the political conflict between the tribe of Benjamin and the tribe of Judah, or the House of King Saul and the House of David. It’s mostly politics my friends. The tribe of Judah, the largest tribe and most powerful controlled the scribes. The northern tribes did not accept David as King. If king Saul was that evil as he is portrayed, the levites would not have sided with the tribe of Benjamin. The civil war between the two tribes or the two houses still exists to this day among the descendants. Again, majority of the remain of the 12 tribes did not accept David as King.

Can someone help me fellow brethren? I don’t want to oppose God and forgive me Lord if my words and heart do.
But I’ve often felt that Saul was set up. As rebellious as he was, I don’t think he was as bad as he’s made out to be. God found ways to forgive David over and over and establish His kingdom through him.
Yet Saul was cursed from the start when that bad spirit came upon him. He was never gonna win. Why did that spirit come upon him right from when he was anointed?
Idk. Can someone please explain to me. I’ve always had a soft spot for Saul and it bothers me. I hate that I relate with someone who’s rebellious against God.

I thunk it is about the position of his heart. He always want to be in the good books of people without caring what God thinks about him, as long as his fame is intact. As for David, his heart is always after what God says, rather than what men thinks.
I hope this answers part of your questions.

It was Samuel that disobeyed God (1 Sam. 13:8) as he did not come to Gilgal at the appointed time. It was his sin that caused Saul to have to make a sacrifice or see his army scatter. Saul's job as king was to defend Israel not make animal sacrifices. He could not do that without an army. To undermine the army like Samuel did would have been an act of treason.

But Saul knew that he was ceremonial my unclean and went against the law to make the sacrifice.
Also, Saul placed his faith in an army rather than in God. He should have had the faith of Gideon when God reduced his army to 300 men in a battle against thousands.

I think there is plenty of evidence that the ghost of Samuel was not Samuel.
    1. God calls witches an abomination: God will not partake in things that are sinful.
    2. Satan uses disguises to fool people; demons have the power to do the same.
    3. In the story of Saul the bible says that God had not spoken to Saul in any way shape or form.
    4. God used priests, prophets, and sometimes he spoke audibly to the individual. God would not speak through a witch.
I think with these four facts alone we can confidently say that it was not Samuel.

Saul sinned and asked forgiveness, God didnt accept his forgiveness and God repented for having made him king,
David commits adultery, a great sin, kills an innocent man, a greater sin, asks forgiveness and God forgives him, as a punishment God kills his newborn and gives him another son after 9 months.

In Islam Saul is thalut..he was choosen by Allah but Israelite at that time deny him for poorness..
    U can read ur own.
Their prophet told them, “Allah has appointed Saul1 to be your king.” They protested, “How can he be our king when some of us are more deserving of kingship than he, and he has not been blessed with vast riches?” He replied, “Allah has chosen him over you and blessed him with knowledge and stature. Allah grants kingship to whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.”
Their prophet further told them, “The sign of Saul’s kingship is that the Ark will come to you-containing reassurance1 from your Lord and relics of the family of Moses and the family of Aaron,2 which will be carried by the angels. Surely in this is a sign for you, if you ˹truly˺ believe.”
    SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
And when Saul went forth with the soldiers, he said, “Indeed, Allah will be testing you with a river. So whoever drinks from it is not of me, and whoever does not taste it is indeed of me, excepting one who takes [from it] in the hollow of his hand.” But they drank from it, except a [very] few of them. Then when he had crossed it along with those who believed with him, they said, “There is no power for us today against Goliath and his soldiers.” But those who were certain that they would meet Allah said, “How many a small company has overcome a large company by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the patient.”
