I just watched an authentic African gorgeous woman, with a dash of an accent representing her fore-mothers well. ❤
My dear Uziza is a specie of black pepper. Uziza (Piper guineense) is the African specie of black pepper(Piper nigrum) seen in Asia and the Mediterranean. For instance we have white yam(Diocorea rotundata) species from Venue and Abakaliki and they are different we also have D.alata, D.bublifera, D.dumenterum etc. The leave of P.guineense and P nigrum are the same but the seeds of P.nigrum is slightly bigger. Thanks. From a humble Food Scientist/Technologist.
I'm from Akwa-Ibom,my one and only ify,I love this very Episode... thanks for sharing...uyayak is not bitter when it is boiled in water and taken as tea...
Uyak uyak is also used for yam porridge.
Ehuru is also used for Ose ojii😋😋
Ogiri isii is a game changer in Abacha(African salad)
Prekese has many values,, it's a good herb especially to women with health issues like infection, fibroid etc.same thing with uziza and ehuru. They're here in Ghana.Ghanians use them so we'll.and many others. They also have good health benefits.Africa is highly blessed honestly
❤️❤️❤️

Great tip for using calabash nutmeg for fish
Thank you aunty Ify I have learnt a lot from this video
It's funny how I think my food isn't at its best yet, even though everyone that tastes it thinks it tastes so good. Ify has just confirmed for me that I dey cook 💃💃🤸🤸. Because I am familiar with all the ingredients and use most of them in almost all my dishes. Even so, the technique she uses that changes the game. Kudos to you Ify. I really wish I could meet you one day. You be my cooking twin sister from another tribe and religion 😂😂.
Also calabash nutmeg becomes easier to remove from the shell when you roast it first. After roasting, you can remove without biting 😊 and you don't need to roast after removing the shell again
There are some leaves too that are specially used as ingredients. Leaves like scent leaves and curry leaves. These are also game changers when used in the appropriate setting, if you know what I mean.
Spicy. Thank you Ify.
Ify na blast ingredients b this ohh...my wife use literally almost all the spices maybe because she be Igbo lady too😂
