    Timestamps/Chapters below. It's time to take a cute Italian out on a date! Thanks to Frasers of Gloucester for the load of this scooter... the first time I've ridden a scooter in a LONG time!
    www.vespa.com/uk_EN/vespa-mod...
    www.frasersmotorcycles.co.uk/
    0:00 Intro
    0:33 The last time I rode a scooter was...
    1:19 KPH Speedo!
    1:42 Steering is hella quick
    2:39 Bit of a thumpy tickover
    3:26 Noob couldn't restart the scooter...
    4:04 Some first impressions
    4:55 Giving it the berries from the lights!
    6:03 On the dual carriageway
    8:06 Pothole!
    8:44 Noob's guide to where to put your feet on a scooter & other riding position thoughts
    10:08 Crappy road surface!
    10:52 Back brake is v.strong!
    11:37 Surprisingly I can't my feet down as easily as I thought I would
    12:46 & 14:38 Faster A road stuff
    15:31 I discover the joys of having a rear brake lever on the handlebar
    16:07 Walkaround
    20:04 Second date?
    I don't mention this in the video but I put the GoPro Hero 3 away because it has no image stabilisation and I knew it couldn't handle those tickover vibes. Plus the chrome mirror stalks were not easy for my camera mounts to grip onto!

    I was a motorcycle rider for years, …but have just purchased a Vespa 300 Gts super …WHAT fun they are …and the social part of owning one is great ! …lots of Vespa clubs and lots of ride outs to be done ….the 300 is nippy and powerful enough ….and plan on touring on it ! !

    Great review. One of best I've seen for Vespa. I still have my 1962 P125 in the garage with only 6253 miles on the odometer. Now as a senior I am contemplating buying this 300 GTS model. Getting back to my teen years will be fun. Unfortunately my hair will not blow in the wind. I do not have any.

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Talking of classic machines I saw an Ariel Leader in a garage the other day - looked lovely! I think you'll find the 300 GTS nice and easy to ride but still has a decent turn of speed in case you want to get up to any shenanigans! I commiserate re: the hair loss... I am also finding that it's taking longer to wash my face nowadays....

    A great review and enjoyable to watch your first date reactions to a GTS. As a long-time Vespa rider I find the small wheel feeling and ability to quickly maneuver something I miss on a motorcycle.
    Visually, your video is great. I just bought a 360 camera to add something to my videos on TH-cam. It was nice to see how you are using it.
    Thanks for sharing this.

      Thanks for your feedback and comment! I'm sorry for the slow reply but somehow missed this. I had a great time on the GTS and it certainly opened my eyes to how useful and enjoyable they can be. I hope you you get some great footage out your 360 camera. I'm still using them too... I have a GoPro Hero Max and just bought a used Insta360 One X after breaking my last one!

    It has to be said that many buy bikes for the performance and riding pleasure. However, if one wants a sensible bike for commuting and even the odd long journey, this bike really is a much more sensible buy. It does the same thing as a Kawasaki H2 at 60 mph. Thanks for reviewing a sensible bike.

      Sorry Dima but way too much click bait on these reviews. No mention of fuel requirement octane, fuel tank capacity, normal range or mpg. No comparisons with other similar size scooters or ever mc's, No real specifics on many of the comments made. Not enough emphasis that this was designed as a city scooter that can do a little more but excels in city. Should either have more scooter experience or longer time to ride and gain knowledge before offering anything like an expert review.....but that is the way of TH-cam now.

    Nice again. Never had a scooter or ever intend to, but I can see they are ideal for around town. I do like that both brake levers are on the handlebars, I wish more electric bikes had this and then they could make the foot pegs ultra adjustable.

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm certainly tempted to get a little twist and go at some point! I'd also happily try a DCT Honda too. I think having an auto is a bit like having cruise control on a bike. It frees up a few brain cells so you concentrate more on the road 😁 👍

    Great review. I am a new 300 owner. Wondering what type of RAM mounts you're sporing that fit the Vespa mirrors.

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mounts I'm using are actually these from Smallrig: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00855QK0Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      Then I had a 1" ram ball screwed into the top. I really like the Smallrig mounts but to be honest they could not grip the chromed mirror stalks very well.
      I hope you have a lot of fun with your new Vespa!

      @TonyPsaltis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RikkyTang Thanks, Ricky for the quick response. I am transferring my RAM gear off my mxi-scooter and onto the 300. I was curious as to how the RAM system actually mounts onto the bike. On my maxi scooter, RAM makes a platform that replaces the brake fluid reservoir on the handlebars. My new VESPA GTS SUPER TECH 300 HPE just got delivered. I am so excited to join the Vespa team of riders.
