It's not bad, but I also think that it's not great. It's an okay movie. I just wish the put more platform game element scenes in the movie.
These people must be crazy. I think this movie is beautifully done in every aspect: music, cinematography, the characters, brilliant job all the actors did, all the effects etc. Definitely a 10/10 for me. Hope with time it’ll get the appreciation it deserves.

I don't know why people say this was a shitty movie. I thought it was really well done, the story's great, the characters awesome and the music really completes it! I mean the simple scene where he asks his brother to trust him was heart touching
+Raiigen It is a movie based on video game in case you didn't know. I guess the people who say it is shitty expected to see what is in the game. The story is a little twisted from the game, that might be what they don't like.
NutnRoll Yes, I do know, everyone knows the game series Prince of Persia and I even own them myself, but so does Tomb Raider or Resident Evil and even those two are farfetched from the games safe for the one or other thing.
People expect too much and when they don't get what they want, it's automatically a giant piece of cow dung. It's ridiculous.
Coming from the point of view of someone who's never played the Prince of Persia games, I thought it was a decent movie. Okay, I didn't think it was anything spectacular, but it was alright.

Honestly, this movie was so good. I don't know why people rag on it. I thought it was amazing, the acting was great, the soundtrack was phenomenal, and the outfits were on-point. So what exactly was the issue, I still can't figure out
My friend hates it because it doesn't follow the game's storyline. But just a few years later the Assassin's Creed movie showed us how stupid of an idea that would be. This movie is great exactly for the reason that it only uses the game as a stepping stone, and writes a cinematic story around it.
I liked the movie. There were a few things I would have changed in the very end to give the whole story more meaning. But that's it :)

This music truly brings back memories, like you said, this is when the magic starts
At that point in the music I just imagine myself riding a horse through the mounds and hills of wide deserts as far as the eye can see and passing forests and jungles in some grand adventure in a time where borders existed but there wasn't any immigration offices or passports required...the world was mostly unexplored and full of.....full of life, and the path was opened for our ancestors to grab what gear they had on their backs and head out the door if they so wished and willed it to see where life would take them........it's the reason I can't wait for inter-stellar travel technology, cause if I can't be this free on Earth anymore at least let me be free among the stars.
The movie was okay, I didn't know it was based off a video game tbh. The cgi was horrible, the pacing was a bit too fast, they should've made it longer. The music was one of the good things abt it.

One of the best movie adaptions of a video game, the story , filming locations, sets, acting and soundtrack were all amazing, the hate for this movie will always be a mystery to me

Loved the Prince of Persia games.While I agree for the most part, this movie was probably one of the better made movie adaptations of a video game that has been made.

Jake Gyllenhaal was a fantastic cast, and the score for the movie is still an absolute banger. The issue with the movie was the fact that the story was made so different from the game, it was pretty much unrecognizable outside of "there's a prince and a dagger".
That said, I loved the nods to the game sprinkled throughout the movie - especially the camera work when they're discussing how to attack the gate house. I nearly jumped out of my seat at the cinema with excitement when that happened, I was so giddy.
What was the main difference in the story ? (I havent play the game)
@@gonx9906 pretty much everything is different. Best to read or watch a plot summary of the two to compare them I think. I could write it all out but it would be a massive comment.

The music was beautiful. I'm Persian so I know what kind of music to expect and this actually wasn't too bad. They musicians added there own kind of modern day vibe to the ancient Persian theme. But overall, I like it.

I really like when Prince going to Island Of Time, kill Dahaka and when He came back, Nizam is still alive and the Kingdom is in destruction cause of his Tiranny. Then Princess Tamina has been Trained to became a Soldier or Archer(Farah?) to rebel against the Corupted kingdom of Persia.
