My favourite scenes in assault on alamot is when Dastan is climbing the wall and when he is pulling his two swords while walking to fight against Alamotians , and behind Dastan is big fire. It' just so cool!
I'm surprised noone uploaded this scene. I love it when directors open a movie with a 'bang' 'cause it always works as a directing technique. The movie wasn't brilliant, but mainly because of it's premise, medieval Persian setting, and cast, it's one of the more watchable, likeable, and memorable video game adaptations. I hope upcoming adaptations (Assassin's Creed?) does something similar.
I would complement the artistry and overall solid quality of everything in the film. It's not revolutionary or ground breaking but in my opinion, solid enough all around to be a good summer guilty pleasure. Quite frankly, I think more directors are doing too much in their attempts to be sensitive or groundbreaking that they check off idealized Hollywood boxes (inclusivity, moral lectures,ect) that they forget to make characters and stories that are actually good. Most people don't have the finesse to introvert the archetype they're trying to subvert. Otherwise, it's just a sermon on the mount. No one watches anything Christian unless it has a decent story. (Prince of Egypt by Dream Works comes to mind) I think H-wood misses the mark more often than not at times.
At 5:10 I start crying, because it's the end of the movie, the end of a dream I've been waiting for since the first game prince of persia 1, hope for Trilogy

My confusion is as to why there aren't more soundtracks like this, where it mix and matches multiple POP media together, collating the music from the film and multiple games alike. Most are all so singular.

I wish the movie was better. I really enjoyed it, but when you compare it to the original games that this movie is based off of, it`s similar but this movie would HAVE to be rated R and NOT made by Disney if it was to be respectful of it`s source material. And Disney DID NOT do a good job of making us believe the actors are "Persian". Jake Gyhlenhall and Alfred Molina are the farthest things from Persian. 4/5 for effort.
