    You've probably figured this out by now or moved onto a different/better method but if not, at about 5:20 where you're individually selecting all the single items, at the top where it says "item SKU" if you click that it will organize it based on those so all the (multiple) will be grouped together all the "IK-2" will be grouped and all the "FLAG" will be grouped together, I assume that's how you were seeing the items as single or multiple, would just make your selecting the items go way faster! Cheers!

    Thanks for the video.. I started designing and 3d printing various items. I've been doing it a less than a year, so I don't ship consistently. Just looking for a cheaper way to ship items other than USPS. Mostly selling through eBay, then running to USPS to ship, luckily it's only a couple blocks away. I really want to be self employed.

    • @commonvandal
      @commonvandal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep going, don't stop! USPS is generally the cheapest shipping option as shipping just gets expensive in general. Around 1lbs is where it might make sense to ship using another carrier. Also depending on how much size variability you have in your designs, you can adjust for better box options that might reduce costs.

The process for us won’t necessarily be the same for everyone else but the things I listed above are pretty common to starting a business. Hope this helps.

    The point of ship station is not just to aggregate orders and print labels, it is to enable robust automations. You can set up rules in advance that classify orders for certain carriers and packages, you can also set up labels that let you filter orders based on the label. Taking 3 hours to do 67 orders is not very efficient. It does not seem that you are using an inventory system either

    I have a very basic question. In Woocommerce where you enter for shipping the dimensions and weight, I was entering the info for that item in the box. In other words the dimensions of the box and weight of the box with just that one item. But is this for the product itself? just the dimensions of the item and the weight of the product not including the box? 🤦‍♀ I'm so confused because if you do live rate shipping it doesn't take into consideration the actual size of the box and weight including the box you will use to give you a rate. Someone with experience please?

      Yes there are two ways to do it, both within in Shopify and Shipstation. One thing I didn't cover in this video that I didn't know at the time is how Shipstation will auto classify a package to your exact specs... this has already saved me a lot more time. Why not just have the weights inputted to your website so ShipStation pulls the weight from Shopify? Then you can have presets for shipping and bulk print. My question is though...do you use in cart delivery (ShipStation) with Shopify or how do you make sure your customers pay the same rate when getting into priority shipping?? Because Shopify has better rates and Shipstation isn't able to pull the same rates so you end up paying more in shipping.

    Hi Zach! Thank you for making this video, very helpful! I have a couple questions:
    -Let's say you are printing orders for a particular day or within a certain timeframe. Can you print an inventory list of products for those orders so you know how many of product "A," "B" and "C to pull?
    -In Shopify, I think you can enter the weight of individual products. I was hoping the same could be done in ShipStation so you wouldn't have to enter weights of the order components. Do you know if they've made an update for that since the time that you made this video?

    • @israelibadamm
      @israelibadamm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jenetra, just thought i could help:
      For question 1, seems like you asking about picklist, you can select multiple orders using Shift + click or simply check marking what you need and click print->picklist
      this will provide you an aggregated list, and even their location if its in your product DB.
      For question 2, you can import/ or update already imported SKUs (Shipstation automatically saves them) and update all their weight in bulk. this will automatically calculate the weight for you on the order level. (for multiple items as well)
      Another tip ill give, is to create automation rules, we have for example if order weight is greater than 1lb, use priority mail, if its less use first class.
      You can use these rules to add tags, update fields, shipping settings, box sizes and basically almost everything
