going BACK to Kilimanjaro
มุมมอง 7822 วันที่ผ่านมา
Bucket list adventure, run it back. Last year I climbed the tallest mountain in Africa and it was one of the craziest things I've ever done. This week I'm going back. Summiting Kilimanjaro was one of the most humbling and extreme experiences of my life, almost spiritual, so I'm excited to be going and taking 8 people along for the adventure. This video covers how I hardly planned for the first ...

Forgot a map. Didn't check the weather. Not enough water. Left the sunscreen. But I brought my cameras for a Kilimanjaro training hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. After sleeping in my car in a parking lot in Estes Park, I headed to Rocky Mountain National Park. The ranger suggested Ute Trail so that's where I started...but that's not where I ended up. Sometimes drone footage sits on a hard drive forever before it gets published. So it goes. 01:56 I never owned this but in the early 2000 most americans who came to Africa had that. I was really obsessed about it, there was no Social Media, Myspace would come later but you know internet was too slow for videos. Hope the footage is still good though
I love this type of cameras sadly i don't own one.

Very Good Video Man! Very informative and consistent 🎉
Great Video
Can not wait to see the new website with all the photos! 🔥
Stoked to see it all on the site!
I have a large item to sell on shopify, such as tote handbags. Could you please tell me which shipping option is the most affordable?
That gifting of photos - honestly its a cheat code. I am not a good gifter in general, but one thing that works every time for me is printing out a photo of the recipient and giving it to them in a nice frame!
Cheat code. I'm not a great gift giver so gifting film is one of the best ways I can gift people something meaningful and well thought out
Thanks so so much.. my biz is picking up and using the shopify way takes hours with hundreds of orders 😂 cant hurt to try it right lol
Nothing will ever compare to the feeling of holding your film photos after waiting for weeks! It’s like finding little treasures over and over. The anticipation and excitement is so strong that sometimes it’s hard not to peek at the digitals while you wait for the prints 😅
Thanks for sharing Zach! Congrats on your tenth anniversary
Love it -- I totally failed at documenting the cruise LOL
Maaaaan. This makes me :)
Nice travel mate! Where have you rent the dirt bike??
First 3 minutes is "what I'm going to talk about". Jump to 3.00 to sort of get started maybe. Make that 3.30
🌤
first view lesss gooo
Also, at about 5:07 maybe change the sort list from the ORDER # column to the ITEM SKU column then sort to exclude (multiple) then the single items will be all together (mostly) and the hold shift click to select the entire block
WHAT A MESS !! maybe clean and organize a bit BEFORE posting ??

Although I'm an introvert but I'd really like to connect with you since I'm looking for a mentor. I'm thinking of taking the jump from my job to full-time Dropshipper or E-Commerce Store owner. Regardless, I love your content keep it up big bro!
Amaaaaaaazing!!! Fantastic.
Sucks so bad… so happy you didn’t take yours with you 🙏🏼
Haha it's worth all the trouble! But the missed shots still haunt me

Climbing mountains gets easier the more you climb them 😁
Okaaaaayyyy, I don't see you as someone who doesn't cross the finish line. You just set ridiculous goals that are sprints rather than marathons. Like 75 hard or whatever is not a lifestyle 😂 Proud of you for filming! Also, goooo Lucia - loved that scene ❤ she's adorable
Yaaaa but I've historically fallen short on my sprints which is really what this is about: sticking through it to the end... there's just something about finishing fully that opens up unseen doors and new opportunities, almost like a reward from the universe for making it all the way. 9/52 weeks Lucia's part was my favorite!
That is really cool! It’s funny home our family moments at any given time are going to be up in one of y’all‘s videos haha
haha have two (right now) video sibs capturing our lives so we're well documented
Nice! That one from storage didn't do too well 😆 but the other digital one seemed to be alright actually! That ZV-E1 is amazing (of course) haha
It's surprisingly bad. Though it might be in the settings because it shoots in a weird format and converting gave me problems (stretched weird). Going to try adjust next time and see if it turns out better.
Is your company still up and running?
Yes! LIVE A GREAT STORY turns 10 this year liveagreatstory.com
@@commonvandal how many boxes would you say your shipping out a month now or still around that 1000 mark?
@@blaked3804 it fluctuates with business changes. recently have scaled back to make some adjustments but somewhere in this same range
feels very authentic, the substance is definitely there. in a world where everyone is so obsessed with following trends, I must say watching this felt different yet close to home. you’re on to something, I’m also sure the shooting experience is more natural (which translates in this vid) right on
thanks man, appreciate your thoughts. It's definitely a different shooting experience and feels much more immersive than on a phone like you're actually in it not on the outside just capturing it. Rewatching it later also makes it feel like that so it's cool to re-live the experience again more than digitally
Feels like I time-traveled to make this video, so much nostalgia with the camcorder... can you feel it? I've been talking with so many people lately about how we can't stand screens and new tech, wanting to get away from the future so filming with old cameras really feels so much better and authentic than an iPhone or an 8k camera.
this is dope. Love the mini format + metaphor!
Thanks bro! It was a fun concept and I'm happy how it turned out... gotta get a lil weird sometimes
Subscribe Done Dear Brother. I hope you are very well. Your video-making is very good. Your content ideas are excellent. But your videos do not have much engagement. and need a proper video tag to reach the targeted area and audience. There are some reasons that I found from your channel .If you fix these then your channel will get views and subscribers will increase very fast organically. If you want I can share with you?
Reminds me of my daily Covid walks in that hood
Love the stuff you put out.
Thanks man, feels good just putting stuff out and creating for the sake of creativity.
Love this bro! Doing it all over again and I can’t get enough of it💥 way cheaper than 9 months in most of America! Especially Hawai’i haha
Stoked for you! Look forward to seeing where this leg of your story takes you and to hopefully cross paths out there sooner than later. You going to TH-cam this trip??
@@commonvandal thanks man!! I hope so too🤙🏼 ehhh idk, I’m gonna do lots of IG for now until I get through tons of old stuff and what’s happening now!
@@koenigkronicles man remember to shoot both IG and YT! I shot sooo much vertical footage but hardly any landscape and regretting it now that I'm getting more into TH-cam
@@commonvandal ohhh yeah! Mostly shooting just horizontal and cropping it for IG🤙🏼 I traded drones so it doesn’t switch to vertical anymore!
Long term slow-travel will change your life and I can't recommend it enough! It's cheaper than you think and definitely not as hard as you think. If you're thinking about it, go for it. Let me know if you have any questions about how to make it happen.
Interesting topic that I'm very in line with right now... I'll be 31 this year, small business owner, and have a 13 month old son. I enjoy my business life, but the absolute best part of each day is coming home to a small human who is so purely excited to see your face. I feel a need to keep grinding, keep building, and spend the extra time associated with business to ensure a successful and fruitful future for my family. But I dont want to be the old man whose biggest regret is working too much... tough to balance life these days. I dont know how I ended up here... wait, yeah, I do. I'm researching shipstation to streamline some business operations all after getting my son to bed. Enjoyed listening to this one.
Thanks for your thoughts here, especially with a little one. Seems like you're a few years ahead of me on the family front so your situation is one of the scenarios I'm forecasting and trying to figure out ahead of time. So many friends have told me that everything changes once you have a kid so I want to be in a better position when that time comes, but I also don't want to work too much right now and wish I could have maximized my time without kids. Business creep is a real thing so I guess for both of us it's about setting boundaries in alignment with our values, both for now and the future. Cool how you started on a Shipstation video but ended up on this one, the duality of entrepreneurship.
Yeeeeesssss🎉🎉🎉
i just recently booked 2 trips. so hyped. also it's so inspiring how you told this story. i felt so immersed.
Thanks bro, stoked for you and your trips. Come back with stories
@@commonvandal living a great one, just like you brother. blessings your way 🤙
dude this is awesome
I like that you’re able to use the same shots to make different videos/stories. TNT. Travelers, Not Tourists. Feels like it would be a cool name for a hostel or a place where you can come and exchange things from your culture to the one that belongs with that place.
Dig that TNT The other video was only two out of the 10 days so I had a lot of extra footage from the rest of the trip, wanted to do more of a recap video and this is what came together. I also have some of it filmed vertically for TikTok but not enough. Since it’s literally 720p I realized I basically need to shoot every scene vertically and horizontally for editing more content later.
Love this style man! Thx for the travel inspiration too🙏
Glad you dig it, hope you get out on an trip soon! Don't put if off too long
😅
You’re the man!!
Thanks bro, feels good to be back on the videos. Stoked to see where it all goes

This is crazy awesome!
Thanks, it was a fun trip!
LOL 4 GB card and the audio sync 😂 but amazing memories captured regardless! Curious to hear insights on whether you'll be vlogging with this camera again. Loved tagging along on the journey!
Need to upgrade the card! I really like the camera simplicity and just filming quickly. The best is that I don’t have to take my phone and the camera is so small that it’s easy to carry. Also I like the audio it captures so I chose not to do music overlays because the variety of background sounds adds to the effect. Will prob keep using for vlogs and everyday carry
(You Need to Make a 2024 Version video ASAP) One with different platforms & methods 🤳💻🖨🏷📦 including thermal label printers. This is your most popular video for a reason. I keep asking youtubers to make videos on this side of business. After all, without a sales point and not knowing how to do the orders, receive orders, and all the other admin, what are you really doing 🙄
This was the only full detailed video showing the most important part of selling online. So many TH-camrs fail to make their version of this video or maybe it's because of the algorithms and the keywords they've used it can't be found. But it's a shame at 10:23 volumes went silent 🤫 I hope that part was silenced because it was very important information 🔕
