  • This animation demonstration of a revolutionary surgical hardware system and technique developed by Dr. Dennis Crandall of the Sonoran Spine Center in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
This technique is identified by Campbell's Operative Orthopaedics as the "Crandall Method" for treating scoliosis, kyphosis, and spondylolisthesis.
Campbell's is a widely used resource for orthopedic surgery and "...an essential resource for the operative orthopedic surgeon." (- JAMA)

I had this surgery done 9 years ago. I had a 97 degree curve. I was 13 years old at the time and now im 22 years old. I was away from school for 3 months and it was a year before I could exercise again. Im so happy that i had the surgery done, even though it still hurts some times. :)

I’ve lived with a hyper kyphosis very similar to what the animation shows here. Specialists recommended this very surgery for correction.
I decided to try chiropractic adjustments first. After three different chiropractors that didn’t help (not for lack of trying) I went with one that specializes in Gonested. After 14 months of regular adjustments the kyphosis has been corrected.
It’s been three years since and not a day goes by that I’m not thankful for not choosing surgery as my first choice. Nothing against medical doctors but the costs, recovery time, scarring, ect would have been very inconvenient.

Was it scheyermanns disease or just postural kyphosis because as I know scheuermanns kyphosis cant be corrected with chiropractor help only the pain can lessen.

I was in the gym after 3/4 months and now I'm so happy. I look great and feel great. You wouldn't know I had any back problems what so ever.
