UPDATE 2: Updated details. ORIGINAL UPDATE: Hello everyone! A little bit of an update to this review! It’s been brought to my attention that the time that I grabbed from my save of the game is incorrect due to a bug and I’ve since looked at my Steam time to share. Technically, the correct time is 62 hours! I say technically because the time is the sum of both my progression and one I’m currently playing with my spouse. I suspect the game is 50 hours long due to how many days there are in the campaign (1 day/1 hour). That said, I have since decided to just keep the thumbnail and the current hours as trying to change this all the time isn’t great. Thanks for reading this!

I love all of the character designs, it actually gives all the NPCs, well... character! It also kept looking to me like Quinn had a floating bowling ball with her, which I would quite like.
I love the graphics so much I want more games like that. It could be a game as simple as serving food or being a bartender, those graphics and I'm all up for it

This game looks cool. That animation style reminds me of ARCANE and I love it. HP stuff rules by the way. I bought my son an HP desktop and it’s been great.

A pinch of Atelier, Persona's Social Links and its own intrinsic charm makes quite a concoction indeed. I'm likely gonna wait til it hits consoles, myself. This feels like perfect game for a relaxed day off flopped over on the couch with the Switch
Great review! It's out of the normal type of games I play as well, being a huge RPG fan. However, Sylvia is such a waifu. I'm so tempted to play it. xD
I love this game. It has cool character design, gameplay, strategic elements, and great music. I also had a great satisfaction when defeating the bosses with a potion much better than the bosses had to offer (that the competitions were won by default). However, some cards set are better than others. Max out the relationship with the deer girl and Boss Fight will be a trivial matter (Casual Talk card). Dealing with costumers, then the Walrus and Cat Pirate cards are the go-to sets.
For a first game is good. I do think there are some game what inspired the developers to make this and I find the art style charmy and adorable. Maybe I will give it a try but I do play more or less sandbox, action oriented games or rpgs. This games reminds me the fantasy shop where you sell potions items and various weapons to different type of heroes.

Hi! I’m not sure if you’re allowed to divulge this but I have seen quite a few reviews saying that the game is very stressful because you have a limited time in doing things each day. I love Atelier games but the older Atelier games with their time limits absolutely stressed me out to the point where I was just constantly reloading my saves to make sure I do things “right”. I’m a little worried this game will give me a similar experience. How does the time management fare in your playthrough? Were you able to complete the main quest and romanced someone?
I personally don’t like Atelier games with time limits, so I can say with certainty that I didn’t feel that way with Potionomics. To be clear, I played a build where Roxanne, the first rival, was a lot more difficult to defeat in competition. We reloaded an older save 3 days before the competition and managed to brew better potions that didn’t even require us to haggle to raise their values at all. By the second rival, we basically made even more powerful potions and beat him handily as well. By day 30, we made about 40k in gold that we don’t know what to do with lol I made two guides on this channel that’s helped people tremendously, one being a beginner’s guide and another being a tips video on other ways you can make the first boss trivial. Honestly, I’ve personally have yet to be stressed by the game, and I’ve shared a lot of tips in those videos. Hope this helps!
I really hope they release at least a Switch version. It seems like an awesome game to play there! Sadly, I don’t play many games on PC except visual novels (and the sims) because I prefer controllers and portability, but I’ll make sure to get it if/when it releases on Switch or I get my steamdeck (whatever happens first!) (Please, don’t forget about Latin America, Valve😢)

The time management system reminds me of the persona series, though I'm not going to stress messing things up. After all I'm not trying to save the world, just get outta debt.

From my understanding, the devs want to make sure the PC version is solid, then move to console. I think this is a good idea, especially since controller support isn’t even built in yet

Not gonna lie, on first glance, this looks like a mobile Game. (Animations, graphics, etc.) But, it seems good. Reminds me a bit of Recettear: An item's Shop Tale.
So it’s basically persona five if instead of improving relationships to make fighting monsters easier, it is to craft potions and be able to retire like that anime saving 80,000 gold in another world for retirement

So i have 1 question about the structure.And 1 about romance. -Is there en fixed end like after 5 copetitions the game is over something like that or is it open end until ure deciding ure done with it. -Can u romance the "antagonists" of the game roxanne as example.And can u get cards from them too? I have so much fun playing after I finally learned the mechanic. It's my last day to fight anubia and find a good recipe that utilizes my leftover ingredients. The game bugs after I pressed rank up on a maxed Baptiste relationship (I know it's already been fixed by now) . Lost my autosave for the week so I have to start over lol. That's my review the bug in the game is just unbearable.
hmm....maybe i played Recettear too much back in the day that this one feels lacking in content. you only get to handle potions, no other type of items, no dungeon spelunking. everything is great, the graphics, the voice overs, everything...but no excitement from variables.

Once you get the hang of potion making, you’ll find that it’s way easier than Atelier!

Well I didn’t know about this game until I saw the masterworks edtion and I got it,so I am curious what the difference is.
