I have worked along side immigrants since the age if 12. The adopted me as a second daughter. They protected me from any older adults that did not always have the best of intentions. As I grew to an adult I still had hard working immigrants cross my path. I admire their hard work, ethics and devotion to family. Anyone that does not see this has missed a great culture that has enhanced this country.

Watch the Michel Moore movie Roger And Me. Its free on the internet, this will explain what is still going on. What MSNBC and the Democrats don`t understand is that the American Dream is not working for existing Americans. And Americans don`t appreciate funds and support are being spent on non-Americans. If an American is homeless but immigrants are getting any government assistance or even a plane ticket to the USA then that is not ok to us. You keep talking about the American dream for immigrants, well we Americans who can vote want those funds for us and we do not want competition from immigrants who come here and compete for the same pool of resources, this is not a problem for the rich people of America as they don`t compete against anyone else. This is why Trump is winning and might win again despite being Lucifer the father of lies. People who are born here White, Black, Etc, are hurting and we don`t want competition from the outside for housing, jobs, etc.

This is one of the best reports/broadcasts I have seen in quite some time. Such an important message and so eloquently put by, both, Joe Scarborough and Anand Giridharadas. Almost none of us native-born Americans has any idea about the lines at the embassies of which Anand speaks during this conversation. It's very enlightening.
I have been a teacher for almost 30 years and have had the honor of families of different countries, origins, and cultures take me out to dinner or invite me to their homes to share a dinner that they have prepared, not only to welcome me and show me their appreciation but to share a little bit about themselves and their cultures. I have counted myself very fortunate to have had these experiences.
Speaking of sharing, please share this video with everyone you can, so more people get this incredible message! 🙏💕

These are the immigrants of America and they should be recognized for their contributions and sacrifices and Acknowledgment of the atrocities that were attributed against them and so yes, America is the dream and I feel whoever don’t want to subscribe to that dream in America and it’s freedoms should leave this country and let the real Americans stand together and fulfill Martin Luther King’s dreams.

Politicians like you Joe work very hard to other us, prevent us from voting & telling our story as that of savages & animals who need to be tamed. So your tale of the uplifting American Dream that "everyone came here from somewhere else" falls flat on me. The place my ancestors came from was paved in blood along a trail of tears. I am an American Citizen living in a very different America than yours Joe. And I really wish you hadn't interupted and talked over Anand explaining the nonwhite experience to you. My older sister is with a Dominican American and my cousins are with a Irish American and an Italian/Caucasian American. We have Asians in our family and Islanders. Only in the USA. In my neighborhood our residents come from at least 20 different countries. Our Neighbors practice many religions. Our neighborhood park has a beautiful green trail, eventually you can see a Buddhist temple. My bff is from Uzbekistan. I went to school with humans from all parts of the world. The USA is a great example of what love can do for our communities. We are a strong country. This is the best place in the world. How can you discriminate against anyone if we are all the same. We all want security, love, shelter, abundance, peace, and time to enjoy our lives. We all have so much in common. It’s important that we protect it.
