Glad I found your video! I like to splash water droplets over the paint before it dries, wait a minute, then dab the water off and it leaves the pattern behind. Also, using heavy body paint in a thicker application and then using a comb to brush through the paint makes really gorgeous, tightly spaced lines in the paint, I love this technique because there are so many types of combs you can experiment with 😊
I like how quickly you explain these techniques. No waffle, no boring personal stuff, just in like Flynn with some really useful tricks that I’ll definitely try. Thanks 👍🏻
Thank you! You explain really well and to the point! I use the toothbrush where a press the bristles against my white paint andnusing my thumb, I press the brush from to of the bristles and the paint will come off in tiny tiny droplets. I am painting different pictures into 1 big painting and with this method, it gives a "together" look.. I think the tissue which you talked about will also work.
Hello from Las Vegas! I am SO happy that I found you today! I am 61, and just started painting a few months ago. I love learning everything that I can! I have a question that may sound silly.... When using a sea sponge for paint application, do I wet it first? They are dry out of the package, unlike kitchen sponges. Thank you so much! I am looking forward to watching many more of your videos! ❣🎨
WOW finally 2K thumb-up! Excellent video! I have been stucking up on tons of materials in all different Medium in the past year ! I am so amazed how you can do Great effects with so many simple things! That is called CREATIVITY! Bravo! c'ant wait to try all the that Merci!
I like a lot of texture, so I use soft/heavy gels, glass bead gel, light molding paste, crackle paste etc. After they are dry, then sketch over or simply paint on my design. Linen covered boards are great for this, but I also like large canvasses. 😁
chrissycanvasart Cheers love! 😍 Are you referring to the sgraffito technique? If so it’s great fun. Not tried it on canvas yet but because of logistics tempted to do so in my next vid. Thanks as always for your support you star! 💕🎨🍷
i use big sized makeup brushes to neatly blend my colours in background. and i also sometimes tap tap a roughly squished plastic shopping bag on to wet paint for texture.
this technique is simple but fun I colored my own hair during this pandemic & kept the painting brush its works great for paintings & backgrounds, hope y'all try it!
Good, informative to the point video. I'm painting a lighthouse and am considering texturing the rocks, pearl blue and white for the waves, and used a glossy smooth acrylic for the sky. I'm curious about using cotton balls for the puffy clouds in the sky, just to see what it looks like. I'll play with different things to figure it all out to see what works best. If you share a Facebook or e-mail address with me, I'll send you some pics of the final painting.
I AM LEARNING TO PAINT A WHITE AND GREY BACKGROUND RIGHT NOW AND IN THE FRONT THERE ARE GOING TO BE 3 WOMEN DOING A SORT OF FISHING THING. WISH ME LUCK

i use big sized makeup brushes to neatly blend my colours in background.
and i also sometimes tap tap a roughly squished plastic shopping bag on to wet paint for texture.
sometimes i mix white wall paint in my acrylics as its not only cheaper, but also gives better texture on paintings
I love the idea of using a shower cleaner! Brilliant suggestions as always 😀👍🏻
