    been playing with making these for 3 years and always come back to watch this. Just love how perfect the power roll fire is in this small engine. Just a great job.

    It wants to move around. That's pretty neat.

    Dick, very nice engine build and starts easily too. I also use a rubber o-ring instead of the expensive and hard to make cast iron piston rings. Thanks for posting. Later, RT.

    very impressed by your channel! I've been obsessed with engines my entire 24 years and recently became very interested in building my own small engines using my rather limited materials and means of production (I'm not opposed to a challenge) will keep looking at yours for inspiration for sure

    Wow, I wish I had the know how to build those little engines. Great job. The heat from the engine doesn't melt the rubber o'ring?

  • @joshkern2042

    I am new to things like this, but if you wanted a throttle, could you effectivly just build a mechanism that kept the things that expand down so the valves would still move? Just a question.

    • @dickinohio
      @dickinohio  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Josh, the speed of the engine is controlled by the spring tension of the governor weights. Thanks for the visit. Dick

    • @joshkern2042
      @joshkern2042 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I understand that, if you were to have a mechanism that kept those weights from expanding, the engine would rev up, correct?

    • @dickinohio
      @dickinohio  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A simpler way is to make a devise to stop the exhaust valve stop from engaging.

    • @dickinohio
      @dickinohio  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice build Dick! The ignition system looks different than the plans. Can you elaborate?
    Warren

    • @dickinohio
      @dickinohio  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello warren. I am using cdi from s/s. If u look closely between the flywheel spokes u can c the brass disk that holds the 1/8" magnet. the hall effect pickup is mounted below. A setscrew through the disk allows for adj on the crankshaft.

  • @JasonSmith-vd1sz

      +Szymon thanks for visiting my page. Sorry i don't sell any of my engines. Let me explain why. These are all hand built engines. It took me 150 hrs to build this little green engine. Figluring $20. per hour that would be $3000 us dollars plus the material. I don't think anyone wants to spend that much money for a little engine.

  • @Cleopas82

    It's pretty sad that this kind of stuff is not really homemade, I mean, you need some knowledge of course but also pretty specialiced tools wich only few people have.
    Nice engine btw.

      TheBiMAX Bimax anybody can buy a mill and lathe if they put their mind to it

    • @TraceyAllen
      @TraceyAllen 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you look around you can find lathes really cheap. Mills cost a bit more, but I've seen bridge ports go for under $1500 us. Look for estate sales and school auctions. Small machine shops the go to auction are good too
