Thank god you didn't actually honk the new horn in the video. I definitely didn't come here and scrub through a 12 minute video to try to hear what the Hella horn sounded like.
I did the same install on my NC over winter, I had BNIB 90s era supertones (they sound the exact same as yours lol). The kit from the 90s came with splices already put together + I don't like using those vampire clips on my car, so I was able to splice the ground and power easily. Sounds great and the power output on the horns is still much less than the 15A fuse so no worries about blowing that either.
I had my mechanic replace the pathetic horn in my ‘16 D. Billed as an “American horn,” just like what you hear in Detroit full-size cars. What a difference! Much deeper sound. Would be hysterical to install one of those “Train Horns” I see advertised..
Seems to be loud enough! It's not F-150 loud. But it's a huge improvement over the stock horn. I'm not positive on how loud the other options from Hella are but I'm happy with the supertone.
Hello Tim, It is largely similar. I used the stock bracket and was able to attach both horns to it with a bolt, lock washer and nut. Instead of spreading the horns out, attaching on other end of the bumper like on the NC, my NB2 just had a single bracket attaching on one side of the vehicle.

I was wondering why you didn't use the 2nd relay (that came with the Hella horns) in your installation?

Cars looks so much clearer with no front licence plates like here in the UK

But what does it do to the perfect 50/50 weight distribution? Is all that safety really worth 0.012 seconds added to your lap time?
