I found your channel a few months ago. I was looking into an NC Miata and test drove on, but chose to keep my mr2. Just wanted to stop by and say you're making great content, keep it up! I live in the Denver are too.
I also installed that 2 days ago. Extremely pricey with tax and shipping from USA 134 Euros 😮 Mazda wants 40 euros and aftermarket relais costs 15 euros. So the price is really ridiculous but I didn't want to to put a resistance to the lights. other than that it works fine and stops hyperflashing. Although I don't don't need parking lights and others.
interesting. new to the channel & just realizing that your black top is a PRHT. I guess I thought it was . . . some kind of removeable hardtop on a ragtop car.
Man everyone saying $100 is too much for smart flash, how about over $300 for the SmartTop roof controller module. I bought mine when I was high and almost asleep, not sure I would have done it otherwise 😂 it is great though, one-tap up or down, even while moving.
I have a NC 1 and I put Auxito led light in every light in my car except my low beam because they are HID projector and they don't make an led for them. Does Flying Miata make that anti hyper flash module for the NC 1 ?
You call those blinkers drl’s, but are they? Because you turn the lights on to use them. Real drl’s come on when you start the car and leave the lights off. There are kits to make the fog lights do that, but if the blinkers would do that from factory that would be way cooler.
My question too. It seems like you can use them as DRLs if you turn on the parking lights. Is that true, Jordan? Or do they work as DRLs some other way?
You’re correct! I should have clarified. I always run the car with the first or second light setting on, so for me they are effectively DRL. But they can also be hardwired that way which I have not investigated. Jackson (@Colored in Light) has done a video doing this that I can recommend watching!
Another great blog J! I personally find it without the halo angel eyes better looking, but as other commented, I would go for the DRL without headlight-on setup. Fingers crossed once I get my Miata I’ll copy many things you’ve done lol

Thanks! I'd love to see the MR2.
I liked the darker orange hue, but those switchbacks are cool!
Great work looks loads better..👍
Love this mod, cool video !
I couldn't find the indicator bulbs that turn white when indicator is not on
Dang it’s sold out everywhere. I think it’s pretty pricey though. Should be closer to 50 dollars than basically 100.
What is the concrete type of bulbs needed to work as DRLs with smartflasher?

I'm confused, what's powering the white part of the bulb?
Do you have a vido how to install DLR s?
Now i also have it on m'y NC miata and it's perfect 😊

Hi. would that work in the UK?
I upgraded my NC 1 lights but these are brighter.
Amber light is required by law in the US for turn signals and all side-facing lights so take that into account over looks.
These aren’t side-facing and NC1 didn’t even have them. 🤷🏻♂️ almost every modern car has switchback at this point.
Bro you need the prht roof controller module it’s a game changer

The correct number of blinks to configure the turn signals to is 5 for obvious reasons.
Do i need the smart flasher to install theses lights or no?
Nope! It just corrects for Hyperflash but not necessary to simply upgrade to LED bulbs.

They don't make it in-house, but they sell it. MX-5things is the company making the actual component.
You can't seem to buy this module anywhere
Are your switchback lights standard? As in do they run as drl when you turn the car on?
April 10th they should be back in stock at mx5things

Buy a different flasher and you won’t have any overheating issues or hyper flash issues.😊
bulbs draw current and dissipate power - they do not draw power
The led switchback bulbs still do draw power, just much less belt brighter. 5.5W for white led drl, and 28.8W for amber bright led.
