- In this episode i’ll be giving you a full tour of my principle bathroom whilst sharing with you some styling tips and inspiration on how to make the most out of your own bathrooms at home.

Love a chair in a bathroom but I don't think I've ever seen anyone else do that. My chair isn't upholstered but it is an ornate French wooden chair. I have considered having it upholstered in linen but eventually decided I like it just the way it is. But your armchair looks so comfy I may have to reconsider!

I absolutely love that she called the shower a “mistake” because of cleaning and drying all that glass! That was my first thought! Sophie’s honesty and practicality are phenomenal!

The critical takeaways for me are:
- she’s used this bathroom for 11 years, so she knows what really works for her
(vs. what she thought might work, could work, etc.)
- she shared, candidly, what has worked well for her (so many things), and a few things that didn’t, and
- she acknowledged real world budgets (“this was pricey, but worth it”, and “ this was from Zara”)

I have never been a fan of glass shower enclosures only solid walls, they are easier to maintain and I think looks nicer if designed well.😊

Sophie hello, your bathroom is absolutely sensational and luxurious …..however, one thing I never ever do when designing a bathroom is put the taps on the wall beneath the shower head. I always put my taps opposite where you walk in so you can set the temp before you get soaked. I agree wholeheartedly about the glass as the buildup staining is sooo much work. Thank you so much I loved it….
I watch Sophie’s videos and I want to redecorate my home and have it done bespoke! One day 😄

I found you two days ago; the reason why I've become your biggest fan is I've never seen any designer who encouraged "the ugly fittings" because they are practical. Our spaces are not for a magazine shoot. It's really important that we have a place that looks good but also serves the purpose. Thank you for this great channel that's helping me learn a lot! 🙂

Love your style. So clean and warm.
A small tip that I use because I have a shower like yours, glass, I leave the shower door open for a while after I shower and the water dries and I don’t see any water marks. I can’t slave over the glass I would go crazy if I did.
Sadly we live in a hard water area so when the water dries it leaves behind a mineral deposit

Thank you for opening up your bathroom. For an 11 year old design, it doesn't look outdated but classic and timeless. Such a beautiful, welcoming and relaxing bathroom. LOL...that water squirter does look like something else.
Thank you- design evolution is inevitable but to me this is what classic design should do- maybe not what you would choose 11/ 20 years later but something that still feels classic and relevant and tasteful.

Been waiting for this video for a while. Well worth the wait. Thank you for sharing with us such an intimate space. Clearly there has been a lot of thinking when designing such space. It does feel like another room. I've noticed that there are no plants (real/faux). Is there are reason for that? Great tip about the door handles. You're absolutely right, with small children the design of the handles is really important. Thanks again for your time. Really appreciate it!
