Hi both quite a project, but you have youth on your side. No doubt your architect has picked up on the main issues , such as a lack of a cavity which I presume you will address when you strip back to the brickwork . But it’s definitely got potential , and nothing that hard work and of course money will not overcome . I’ve been watching your videos on your garden room , and thought you approach was very well considered and executed . My first house was in a similar state, which we paid £8000 pounds for and sold three years later for £25000 pounds , you could say I’ve been there . But I love to see people such as your selves going for it , and bringing back these old treasures because that’s what they are . One thing I would say be extra vigilant , with regards to who you employe to do work you feel less confident doing your selfs . I say this as a retired electrical contractor , who knows despite all the regs etc the cowboys are still out there and to be honest are increasing in numbers . I say this because I care about people . Best wishes and kind regards to you both 😀👍👍👍
hello :) thank you for the comment. we will be starting the strip out early 2023 and no doubt a whole bunch of issues will show themselves in the process! we will be doing the majority of the works our selves apart from the boiler, electrical and probably plastering. yes definitely cowboys out and about in full swing! appreciate your kind words :)
Just came across this channel. Fellow South Wales here, and renovating my property too! Going to binge your videos now haha
Hi Marc, thanks for commenting and that’s great to hear, hopefully you have plenty of internal works to crack on with through the winter 😂
