In fairness, Dijkstra's spelling is technically correct. In Dutch there isn't really a y they glue the i and j together to effect that sound so that's how you get the name as it is. For example it really is Feijenoord instead of Feyenoord but they along with Dykstra and Dirk Kuyt (Kuijt) have all done this to make it easier for non-Dutch speaking people so this is one occasion where Merlin didn't really misspell his name.

Robbie Slater? One of the most famous Aussie players of all time, when you could have had Nicky Marker? Lee Makel and Frank Talia would be other options but I cannae remember if they had stickers.
It’s a fair comment. However Marker played more than double of the amount of games that Slater played for Blackburn, he was also a well known Football League player before and after he left Rovers in 1997. Slater although remaining in the Premiership (other than maybe at Southampton) he never really played all that much in England.
