Day 1 Denim & Sishweshwe Film

In addition to this year's showcase, the department was awarded funding from the UJ Teaching and Innovation Fund to produce a fashion film as a form of experiential learning for 3rd-year design students. The film and mentorship was facilitated by the talented Kane Liam Lucas and Surprise Nkomo, photographers and videographers that have worked closely with the faculty in the past (UJ Arts and Culture).
Thank you to our assistant tutors, Anele Nzuza, Neo Komane and Natanya Mugimeti, for the incredible work put into planning this film. The students and the department are extremely thankful for your amazing efforts!
