i learned to sample on my 404sx so i can't bring myself to sell it, but man i want the mk2 BAD. lots of mpc live elements with the quicker sp workflow.

just bought a mk2 , hoping it comes in before the expected date 2 months away lol. do you know if the guitar input handles bass DI well? would be nice to have an all in one tracking unit for those lazy days when i'm not feeling like sitting in front of the computer

hey, i've been following you for a long time. You do awesome things. But I have one question - how do you deal with the copyright of the vinyl records, because you sample from different songs. I myself have now bought a Sp-404 MK2, but I'm a little afraid that I'll get a letter from a lawyer at some point.
You won’t. Only artists with large followings that make a lot of money (i.e. Kanye) lawyers will bother to sue over. Even then they can only sue for lost profits or for a royalty or to have the song taken down.
SP404 or MPC? I want to use my 4 Yamaha refaces and loop them sample them ad make from their sounds complete songs... crazy idea?
Is there a shift function or something that would allow me to raise and lower volumes of a pad in a live setting without having to choose the pad and causing it to retrigger?
I was also thinking about incorporating a midi controller with an encoder, assigned to a designated pad to bring in melodies. Raising and lowering the volume on the fly. I haven't found anything on that. Any info in that would be awesome.
you can select the pad with the data wheel.

Amazing beat. I don't know if it's taste related but lately i feel like you boost the kicks in the mix a bit too much to a point they sound like they are a not part of the mixdown. Again, must be taste related. Keep up the good work!
It definitely is overpowering the whole beat but he did a video before where he purposely done it this way as when he ran it through his compressors ect and gave him a nice desired effect,
