I'm on AMD so I don't really care. But I'm watching the whole video. I HAVE to support this channel because this is the only channel that really cares about creators. It looks like people only buy computers to game on them. That's crazy.

@@Rafathegam231 Nothing wrong with it. I'm talking about TH-cam creators. It's like every computer sold is sold with the only purpose of playing games. And yes most gaming computers are great for working. But TH-camrs don't even mention anything that's relevant for other tasks.
For example on AMD an x3D version is better for gaming because it gives you more fps or whatever but an X version is better for Blender 3D which is what I need. If TH-camrs only cover the gaming stuff creators won't ever know how to optimize for working.

      @Kraven3D 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Eh, I bought the 12600K per this channel's recommendations and Premiere Pro is only using the 4 E cores to render footage because Windows schedules tasks automatically across P and E cores for 12th gen and above, and doesn't think Premiere Pro should be running on P cores. There's no way to fix it through Windows. Long story short, 12600K exported videos SLOWER than my 7600K that I upgraded from, and to fix it, I had to install third-party software that allowed me to disable the E cores for specific programs and turn off CPU parking. Now, Premiere Pro is only running on the 6 P cores, and that sped up exports by around 500% from when I had the E cores running. Had I known about this beforehand, I would have NOT gone with a hybrid chip because now I'm basically running Premiere Pro on 6 cores instead of 10.

Arrow Lake was supposed to be manufactured at Intel's own fab, but due to changing plans and issues with their own node and timing to have it ready, they ended up going with TSMC just to ensure they could actually get it out. Originally Arrow Lake should have existed somewhere in between where Raptor Lake and Raptor Refresh came out (both of which were also rushed to fill that gap that early Arrow Lake left behind as it wasn't ready yet back then).
This is also partly the reason why 13th/14th gen Raptor have had so many ring bus issues because they simply didn't have the time to properly validate their reliability long-term, as they were in such a rush to fill the gap that the Arrow Lake delay had already caused.
It's also a reason why Arrow Lake at the surface doesn't have more outright performance than it does, because originally it was never intended to have more performance than Raptor Lake. Had it come out 1-2 years ago as it was originally planned, Arrow Lake would both be comparable with Zen 4 performance AND efficiency, and most likely having a consistent lead overall, but delays meant they couldn't put it out in time through their own fabs and they ended up eventually going with TSMC to just get it out the door so they can move on to work on its improvements for future generations.
All in all a very interesting cpu architecture, and one that was designed for a clear market lead 2 years ago, but alas was delayed so we get it now -with some added current-day relevant features and continued improvements.
I'm looking much more forward to not the next iteration, but the one after that. So around 2 years from now, when this new architecture has had time to mature and Intel hopefully have returned to the more normal schedule and roadmap pre-Arrow Lake delays.

285K extreme Wattage I saw at 295W. Also the 250W is questionable as the 285K and 265K have different clock speeds.
For me this is something for new builds. I'm looking at APO and Battlemage. The new Z890 has direct 5.0 PCI lane to CPU as does X870. This is REBAR on steroids. So simply put 285K and Battlemage dual GPU performance with no restrictions link to CPU. To me Wattage is performance. In Wattage it will look 250-295W (285K) + 250-275W (Battlemage) = 500-570W of combined performance. All this on paper to my view lifts the ARC from Alchemist to Battlemage more than double. We have Xe vs Xe2 that already is 50% gain. Predicted clock speed is 3000mhz if not more from 2400mhz (boost) to give a good lift also. APO another 10-50% predicted on supported games. XeSS XMX on bar with DLSS.
This is what I'm waiting to see what will this pairing do? Would I dare to say beating 5080?

Thanks for the great video! I really enjoy you going over the slides and information similar to a video lecture. One feedback I'd like to give is at around timestamp 13:20. It appears that the performance results are normalized around 14900k, so when you are comparing the Ryzen9950x and 285k directly you can't exactly subtract one from the other to get a correct answer.
what you can do for instance for Cinebench scores is re-normalize it and compare after. Say r9950x is 102, while 285k is 108 points respectively. Which gives you a rough comparison of 5.8% in favor of Intel. It's obvious this is a super small difference but might actually be significant when % differences are larger. Hoping it doesn't super pedantic and actually helpful!

Just grabbed a 9950X on Proart X870E and 64Gb DDR6400. This thing is crazy - it’s hitting 3516 and 23179 in Geekbench with Air cooling and 44K CBR23 MC. I set a 80C thermal limit in BIOS too and it pulls 200-215W at peak. All the creative workloads absolutely fly on this thing and no doubt with the thermal limit off and PBO enabled on water cooling it could go even further. Looking forward to the real world benchmarks of Arrow Lake, as we know from Zen5 launch the manufacturer claims need a pinch of salt.

I just don't understand why people who don't even have an idea about what intel have accomplished with their new architecture are hating so much on intel for like c'mon some of the things that they have done to their architecture are stuff AMD could never I mean that's probably exaggerated by a lot but still at least give them the credits for what they have done rather than criticizing them on what they missed on and I understand that buying arrow lake wouldn't be the viable option due to the socket being basically dead already but then arrow lake is nothing but a testing platform for intel to improve and develop their next gen cpus' it's kinda like raptor lake-s but better and is just here to fill the time before the 18A process node with RibbonFET(intel brand name for background power delivery) and everything is ready and also we don't know for sure yet but it could be that intel is sandbagging their results so it could create a boom when the arrow lake actually hits the market

    Hi,
I’ve been following your channel for quite some time and really appreciate the content!
I’m looking for advice on building a new PC for both gaming and AI development, specifically for working with LLM models. I also do a lot of development using ReactJS.
Currently, I have a decent setup with an Intel i9-9xxx series processor and an AMD Radeon IV GPU. However, the lack of CUDA support is limiting my AI-related work. Additionally, I frequently use Adobe Illustrator, and it tends to lag when working with larger files. My system has 32GB of RAM running at 3600MHz.
I’m planning to build a new PC that can handle these tasks better without going overboard on the budget-something that’s efficient, not overkill. I’m mainly confused about which motherboard to choose, and I’m considering upgrading my CPU, memory, and GPU to a near-top-tier setup.
Do you have any recommendations? Should I go with AMD or Intel, or would it be worth waiting for Nvidia's new CPUs? I’m not sure which direction to take and would really appreciate any guidance.
    Thanks so much!

I have a three monitor setup a LG OLED 48 inch TV at 4k thru HDMI in the middle, and two vertically rotated HP 27 inch monitors running at 1440x2560 on Displayports (I hand picked these two on the left and right to be exactly the same height when rotated as my main monitor) Video card: I still use an old Asus GTX 970.
    Planning to upgrade to a Ultra 9 285K (or may decide for Ultra 7 265K) with a 890 MoBo (Asus ProArt ?) + 64 or 128 GB RAM Now I have a i7 7700K with 32GB (will be a massive upgrade)
    1. what do you creator guys recommend me as graphics card upgrade, if at all. Does it make sense to invest to a recent video card if I am definitely not a gamer. (though might want to try the new Flight Simulator some time...)
    2. Does it make sense to go beyond 64GB RAM ? I occasionally do Video Editing (Premiere)

(Using ChatGPT) Intel's E-core (Efficiency core) and P-core (Performance core) are part of a hybrid architecture in recent CPUs, like Alder Lake.
      P-cores (Performance cores)
High Performance: Ideal for demanding tasks (gaming, content creation).
Higher Clock Speeds: Boost performance when needed.
More Cache: Larger caches for faster processing.
      E-cores (Efficiency cores)
Energy Efficient: Suited for lighter tasks, balancing power and performance.
Lower Power Consumption: Operate at lower speeds, enhancing battery life.

If one already owns one of the last 2-3 generations, regardless if its AMD or Intel there is not much to see here in terms of work performance, similar to the Zen 5 release. Upgrading from a 13900k or 5950X for creative tasks with a solid 2-2.5x performance boost across the board will only become viable with the future generation. A 32 core Zen6 based AMD CPU or 12P+24E core Nova Lake based Intel CPU will be where i jump ship, maybe even with DDR6 and PCIe6 depending on when those platforms finally arrive. until then my trusty 5950X has to crunch through its tasks.
