  • Let's take a look at our small town of choice for this week, we profile the town of Uniondale in the Western Cape.
    The town lies on the edge of the Little Karoo and Langkloof, next to the N-nine, between George and Graaff-Reinet.
    Uniondale was established in 1856, with the union of the Hopedale and Lyon communities.
    It used to have a thriving wagon building and ostrich feather industry, but is now mainly sustained by agriculture.
    SABC News' Tanya Krause and cameraman Sphiwe Hobasi show us that this quaint town has a lot more to offer than meets the eye.
