My wonderful hometown. Was also my moms, dads. Park Place (where I grew up) did not have paved roads till after I graduated UHS and left for the military. Lined on both sides by beautiful Maple trees, that are now long gone. We lived in a paradise for a child. I love visiting, but also feel a twinge of heartache for how it use to be. You really can never go home anymore.🥲

Very strange seeing my house on display like this. On a side note, I love the memories of us kids playing street football every day and getting yelled at by this one neighbor because the football fell on his yard/driveway....
I remember your house. We used to play touch football right in front of Timmy Kress' house. My best friend growing up was Peter Dale (also on Braxton street, other side of Fenimore.)

@@nsantorelli7794 "Bouie" was actually Martin Murphy, a neighbor of ours on Greengrove Avenue. I think Peter Dale gave him that nickname because we thought his head seemed large for his body. Kids are mean. Bouie is actually mentioned in the lyrics of the Uniondale song when talking about buying engines for model rockets at the hobby shop on Front Street. The store required a parent's note to sell the engines to kids so one of our friends forged a note from Bouie's mother. But because we were young and nobody ever called him by his real name they misspelled it as "Martian". Bouie wasn't with us so I was elected to try and buy the engines with the forged note. The store owner kept questioning the validity of the note, repeatedly calling me MARTIAN". Needless to say we were unsuccessful in purchasing the model rocket engines. So the line in the song is..."but they wouldn't sell 'em to us if Martin's note was a fake."
We used to go to Joe's Bar and Grill on Sunday afternoon he had a TV antenna that way up to heaven and we would watch the Giants from the CBS affiliate in Hartford CN
