I've watched this multiple times, as Robben Ford has always been the definitive guitar player for me. Josh Smith and Kirk Fletcher are extremely tasteful and understated players, and in that class of players that all of us guitarists love and respect. You can hear it in the introduction , what a thrill it is for Kirk to play with Robben, as I know he has worn out all of Robben's recordings in his style creation. Right, to follow Robben with his solo, may have been intimidating to him, but what a tasteful solo it is. And the look on his face at the end of the song, is pure joy to have had the experience. And there will be more collaborations together as well for both of them. Thanks Josh, hope you and Kirk make it to the Detroit area. We will embrace you guys!

Thanks for posting. I somehow missed this. You were an unexpected pleasant surprise find on the cruise Josh. Caught the Artist Jam which was great. Just too much to see. Some great video was captured and this is one of the best sounding uploads I have heard.

@@sclutovic In your dreams Everybody does not like the way Robyn Ford plays the jazzy blues. I do but he did not burn Kirk. If you are into that kind of Blues that has a little fusion jazz in it that it cool I love how Robyn plays. And at the end of the day everyone has their own opinion. Nobody's opinion is better than anyone else's.
I would have been banned from the venue for creamin my jeans the second the song started. Couldn't handle that level of guitar genius in one room

Hey Dale, if you like Robben, check out Matt Schofield if you haven't already. He plays in a similar, jazz-influenced style and is really excellent.

Robben Ford's playing is like a conversation. He uses his speed sparingly to great effect. And his tone and touch, first rate plus, to be sure.
