My s10 does the same thing without a key. I like it without the key. But you are correct, we shouldn't make it easier to steal. So I guess i'm buying a new lock cylinder next weekend. Thanks for the video!
@@kevinpeterson4098 i liked mine without the key too! One less thing to keep up with lol. If someone wants to steal it, they’re gonna steal it. It just stressed me out parking out of sight in some places. Didn’t wanna make it too easy on em! Let me know if ya have any questions!
Just wanted to thankyou for making this informational video. My S-10 is a 92, and I am hoping the set up is simalar enough to do the replacement. It seems pretty straight forward, so I am going to attempt it. I'm a 57 year grandmother of an almost 7 year old grandchild who I have custody of. Money is tight, and this HELPS me more than you know. Last week's project was fixing the drivers side window that fell off the track and I had to replace the window guide. I was a little cut up afterwards, but at least I can roll my window up and down now, and locking the truck up again is possible! Thankyou so much, Gaila from Connecticut
So I just spent 7 hours replacing my key cyclinder only to get everything put back together and as soon as I connected battery horn wouldn't shut off so I unhooked wire and it still kept onn pulled wire out then pulled the horn fuse to get it to stop only for the interior lights to stay on and a buzzing from my dash if interior lights aren't forced onn. Any ideas before I go back in for more tomorrow
@@pillshatner6741 bout all I know to check would be make sure none of the wires in the column are pinched or damaged somehow. That’s the only thing that would make sense. Maybe check where the column harness connects under the dash? Make sure nothing weird there?
Saved my life video was great 93 Sonoma needed some love
