With only 1,800 miles, this Shelby wears an unusual exterior color to begin its brief options list, being finished in a factory up-charged shade of 'Rapid Red Metallic.' This is 1 of just 12 GT350Rs to be produced in this color, and we must say, it looks stellar when accented by black carbon fiber wheels and red brake calipers. A black and red color scheme is carried through to the interior as well, with this example being specified with the 'Ebony' Recaro Interior w/ Red Accents. The Technology Package is also present, providing Blind Spot Monitoring with Cross Traffic Alert, a Voice-Activated Navigation Infotainment Touchscreen, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Standard in all GT350Rs is the 5.2L 'Voodoo' naturally-aspirated V8 engine, producing 526hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. In 2019 and later GT350 models, the 'Gen 2' version of this motor is utilized, which provides identical power output statistics but with increased efficiency and operating improvements in comparison to pre-2019 cars. Along with a 6-speed manual, the engine and suspension combination in this car is considered to be one of the best offered in a Ford road-going automobile, with plenty of capability both on and off the track. Independent rear suspension, 2-piece ventilated brake rotors, and Brembo High Performance brakes are some of the mechanical goodies offered on the GT350R, in addition to tech items such as Ford's Track Apps, Intelligent Access, and a Rear View Camera. Of course, carbon fiber's presence cannot be overlooked within the GT350R, as the rear wing and wheels are both comprised of the material. Lastly, on the interior, the R's increased track focus can be seen via the manual-controlled Recaro Suede Sport Seats, as well as a rear seat delete for weight savings.

Not all Gen 1 have issues. These are racing engines , your oil consumption depends on how hard you drive it.

They never released the production numbers for 2020, and rapid red was as six year color.

I love to buy the GT350 R but with all the motor issues I am staying clear for now.
What motor issues? I own a 2020 R and have had zero problems. There are problems with the Gen 1 engine but a lot of that was fixed for Gen 2. If you love the R, don't let that deter you. Plus, the longer you wait the more the price will keep going up. It's the best car for the $$ I've ever owned and almost impossible to replicate the experience unless you are going to move up to a GT3

@@creamfalcon Agreed. I own a 2019 GT350 and not a single engine issue. Best car for the money. It's going to be hard to upgrade unless I go to a 911 GT3 or Cayman GT4. Even then the sound won't be this glorious.
Gen 1 had two engine builders gen 2 went to single engine builder better qc. I have KR654 2019 R Keith L built my mtr no issues 2yrs 5200mi
