The String Orchestra, formed in 1994, provides a valuable opportunity for beginners and younger players to experience ensemble playing very early in their musical education.
Minimum standard for NSYO String Orchestra violinists:
Scales: C major, G major, D major: 1 octave
Positions: 1st position
Grade: AMEB Grade 1 or equivalent
Age: 5 years or over
