    That’s brutal losing an overslot to those bull sharks. Nothing you could have done different without knowing they are there bro. Would be cool to see you fly fish this area if your still doing that these days!

    what hooks do you like to use for the nlbn swim baits. i just picked some up but i didnt get any hooks and i think i need beefier hooks for them incase i hook a big red or snook

    • @AndreasChristouSaltwater
      @AndreasChristouSaltwater  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be honest I would use their specific jig heads they make if your talking about the swimbaits. The flat surface on the front of the larger swimbaits can be pretty unforgiving if you try to rig it with a normal jig head or weedless twist lock hook. It will likely not swim straight or rip off much earlier than it should. If you don’t have another opportunity to get some of their jigheads for them I would just use eyestrike jig heads and make sure you really rig the bait centered and straight. Hope this helps 👍🏽

    I have a lot of experience with big redfish tournaments, if you need advice. Also if you need a 40" plus red on artificial I can tell you exactly where to go, and how to do it.

      @AndreasChristouSaltwater TBH, even in the "professional" redfish tournaments 90% of the field doesn't have a real chance at winning. It's always the same 10% that actually has a good chance at winning. You must be able to catch 12.5 to 14lbs of redfish consistently to compete. Fishing somewhere like Simpsons creek is risky as it's a community spot and only takes one boat beating you there to screw you over.

    • @AndreasChristouSaltwater
      @AndreasChristouSaltwater  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jesse4r5 yea absolutely. It’s not that my tournament partner and I don’t catch good reds consistently, it’s just something we are thinking about well cause of all the extra financial stuff that comes with competing at higher level tournaments
