That shelter... a walking dead version... 5 - 6 plastic ground sheets over the top > boulders around the perimeter, 2nd wood roof floating above the inner roof more plastic ground sheets then bury it under a few feet of soil to make it look like a natural mound..... it would take years to rot.... but would be very secure/warm/sound proof...

Fantastic and interesting different shelters! So much hard work! Great video work! I think if I had a saw, axe and string I would try to build a simple shelter. I’m sure as a child, you liked to play in the mud. I bet your mom could never find you. Always like the shorter beard. Love the sounds of the chirping birds. Not too much Bonnie. I have enjoyed ur buildings. You have done a very fine job on each. I especially looked at th soil you were using. I suppose clay type soil is th best soil to prevent moisture leaks over a long period of time. Plastic isn't always available. Friend.

to cut down on insects and small animals around camp would it be ok to lay down a layer of ash before putting boards down on ground when building a dugout type? just asking
