Dogs love to work. It’s wonderful to watch when dogs are working - sheepdogs, rescue dogs, drug dogs, assistance dogs, sled dogs, field dogs - all the working dogs. They all look so happy when they are working.

This new job requires me to work second shift. There is also a litter of German short hairs where my sister gets her hair done. I keep going back and forth in my mind about it. This reminds me of when we were kids and we'd make a fort out of rocks and sticks. We always had our dogs, that usually stole the sticks, but mom didn't worry if our dogs were with us. Our forts were always beautiful and sometimes we'd make teepees. In the winter we got to build bonfires, eat Hostess cupcakes and Hersey Bars and stay out until late or until the mosquitos got really bad. A couple of us had our BB guns, in case, you know, bears or mountain lions. Unfortunately, we all outgrew that stuff, got girlfriends, went to college. It's nice to see some do not outgrow that stuff. Now I want another fort.
You have got one great handsome boy there as a companion! He, I can see, is VERY loyal and loves you beyond human understanding. You are VERY lucky brother! Take the best care of him.
That is one well built & designed cabin. Once you get that warm , it will hold some heat. Love lanterns such a feeling of pioneers. I love the simplicity, precision, and craftsmanship combined with the beautiful and natural aesthetics of the log walls of the cabin. I would add more shrubbery and natural cover on the perimeter to better hide the structure from view. Bonny is as quiet as you are, which is wonderful. I would get another pup for a companion to my dog and I would use one puppy for cuddling and the other to warm my feet when I’m sleeping (rotating duty to alleviate jealousy). Solitude is golden, but without animal companions it would be too lonely. ❓Have you ever seen anything that truly scared you❓
