You sure can't go wrong using the Thinsulate poncho liner as a blanket @ 17:00. I carried mine for 20 plus years in the Army and still have it in my truck for emergencies.

Big dog, suggestion, get the dog a pack, she more than big enough to carry a 25lb,(11kg) 30lb pack, can carry her own food, water, and can either take some the load off you, or can bring a couple more items, food.

Nice shelter between rocks, and ideally I suggest you to take a position of laying down with your legs close to the fire, if the slope is flat ... just in case you can keep your head far from the fire!😄
potato skins are the most nutritious part of the potato look it up do not throw them in the fire eat them with the potato.
I can remember the first video you posted with Bonney, she has grown into a beautiful 🐕

While you are young enough and in reasonably good health, you can go into the wild and live as primitive as you like. But when you have say 55 rings around your trunk or more and you need regular medical care, or best to stay accessible to ambulance service, living alone and in the wild really get you genuine experience of what some lives are like several hundred years ago, and most people would not prefer to live that way if they can. Even a high crime area in a city will be better. If you are in Calif. THAT will not be allow, for you still need a building permit !
