Budget Kitchen Update Part 2 | Stain Color Drama (Beep Beep, Let's Do It)

  • This video was going to be an entertaining peek at the hours I spent refinishing this $75 Facebook marketplace find for our kitchen (this includes stripping, sanding, and staining it twice because I made a hasty stain color choice). This is what this video would have been, but my five-year old decided to assist. The result is way better than anything I could have done alone.

    Wondering why you used a wire brush before the scraper?

      good question! I just defaulted to doing that because I think of the wire brush as extracting the finish from the wood fibers and the scraper (not really a scraper, more of a putty knife for spackle) helping me clean it all off. I wish I'd had a wider putty knife.
