Cruel Angel’s Thesis is the theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion, an apocalyptic anime, and a Japanese karaoke classic performed by Yoko Takahashi. The story centers on Shinji, a teenage boy who is recruited by his father into the organization NERV to pilot a giant bio-machine mecha called an Evangelion in combat against monstrous beings known as Angels. The song upbeat tunes and lyrics’s acts like a pep-talk to the protagonist, where he is being told that not only can he do this, he has to accept his fate for the good for all humanity.

Bro it's the first thing i saw, I was like OMG he has a 12 string
I can notice every tune he made thanks for his playing style.
I love that they included the long interlude between when the song stops and continues, many symphonies fail to do that
Oh, and by that, I mean when the percussion on the guitars come in like it’s a solo, it is always forgotten.
That's the directors cut version I'm pretty sure the version used in the show just stops before that

Some of the music that accompanies the opening sequences for shows is truly incredible and each and everyone of those themes is unique in their own right. Japanese composers are some of the best in the world imho
