The amazing part of this CBS telecast was even though they went way over time due to the extended red flag, they *STILL* did interviews with all of the top finishers, therefore pre-empting most (if not all) of the NCAA Track & Field Championships! I Swear, CBS was the best back in the day when it came to Network TV Motorsport Coverage!
The name Dennis Vitolo equals bizarre, amateur-hour screw ups in an Indy Car. Have to agree with Nigel Mansell (who Vitolo almost decapitated on the pit apron UNDER YELLOW in the '94 500), the guy had no business driving in races at this level. At all.
Great stuff, I think moving the race to the Belle Isle circuit was a much better idea than the Renaissance Centre in Detroit, the Renaissance Centre track was never popular with IndyCar or Formula One in my opinion.

1:24:30 onwards for that whole incident with Vitolo and the Andrettis.
i miss Chris Economaki :(
Complete clownshoes by the safety crew. This also might be one of the worst surfaces for a road circuit I've ever seen.
11:15 - Michael Waltrip in an Indycar?
Ken Squier calling a Indycar race
11:29 Start
Such an untidy start :P
Jason White typical CART
1:48:19 LOLZ!
