Your first instrumental was so good it gave me chills. I had to search the comments to find out it was Surfer Girl (which I have never heard but loved). You never cease to amaze me, RJ. Truly you are one of the best guitarists in the world and one of my top 5.
Mine was very muddy, I don't know how Ronquillo got such a note separation. I upgraded whole electronics and changed pickups to stratocaster type. Original p90s were owerwound, something like 12kOhm
Spectacular job of making that guitar gueetar! I've always wonder what magic would come of that style of baritone. Thanks R.J. for bringing it to life.
I love mine. It's a lifer for sure. I'm kind of digging the green in this video but, went with the black/gold. I'm not typically into gold hardware but, it fits this guitar well. The p-90s give it mega-mojo and give a good versatile range. It's a breeze to play and much lighter than I expected before I looked at weight and felt it when it arrived and is well balanced. The body is large but, not overly cumbersome or, difficult to get around. Fantastic guitar for the price overall and am considering getting the microtonal model as my next purchase.
I just got a Sidejack Baritone the "20th LTD" in the Stunning Sonic Blue. These guitars play so good! Your vids helped give me the confidence to buy sight unseen. I will say the pickups are a tad dark, but still have an amazing tone.
RJ has this thing sounding AWESOME and I love the body. There's just something about the slanted neck pickup that really turns me off to these guitars aesthetically.
I have that guitar in Green Burst. Very good instrument with lots of "character" in the tone. I tune it from low A to A (A - D - G - C - E - A), it's a pretty thrilling tuning. The trem-arm has the nasty tendency to fall down all the time, but I'll cure that with an "earth magnet" stuck at the bottom of the trem-arm insert.
I have one of these. Try it with flatwound strings for an even deeper, darker sound., it's amazing. Very reliable construction, good pickups, nice affordability, Eastwood makes really good stuff.
Maestro, your playing is always a delight. What a cool guitar. It seems to me the lowest string is givin a B. What gauge of string you use for that guitar? Thanks in advance RJ Ronquillo RULES!!! \m/Ò_ó\m/
You're right, baritones are usually in standard tuning but starting on B instead of E. I use D'Addario Nickle Wound .014 to .068 even though I'm not R.J..

His phrasing is superb. How he hesitates immaculate.
Surfer Girl was ducking incredible, RJ. 🦆🦆 Now I need to try and learn it off watching your fingers. Just lovely.
I have one but it doesn't sound like that when I play it. I think because it's blue... Yeah, that must be it.
Add me. I don’t have a baritone yet but at fourth higher it still doesn’t sound the same - because I play a strat.
How is the quality of the instrument?
The cab has the largest impact on sound, not the guitar. Although I can hear the guitar has good sustain.
@@exiago Mine is not an Eastwood. I just meant his unlimited ability,

The Surfer Girl instrumental was amazing
This is so beautiful! Thanks for showing what this guitar can do in a clean context. ❤️
This one just went on the shortlist, it's got TWANG for days! 😺👍
That cover of Surfer Girl was 💋🤌

that little tap and pick with the same hand trick got me in my feels tho

What a great version of surfer Girl!

Nice sound and classic beach boys song!
I always enjoy watching you play. You do good work! You make all of the Eastwood guitars sound good!

How will you ever get it out?

Little surfer 🏄? 😁 Nice job man, you are top notch, bro 👍😎🤟🎸
Daaaaamn man that sounds gorgeous!
God Damn that guy can play.
killer performance RJ
Great demo RJ
I love this color😮
Yeah, I dig it the most...
Totally AMAZING. Fantastic!! 5 stars.
want the plus version in black so so bad
Man he really sold me on this guitar
I love baritones (and this one!), but I need wider-string spacing. I wonder if that is possible.
2:23 ✨
If you want to experience this in a garage rock setting check out s band called the velveteers. They're awesome and use this model of guitar
Bravo.
Now I lust for this to go along with my Eastwood Sidejack DLX; I need this to feed my Duane Eddy music fetish. Thanks, R.J.!
Came for the demo, stayed for the vibes
As normal, well done RJ.
I’m so jealous of that head of hair
Fantastic stuff! Does anybidy know the name of that colour? Doesnt appear on the Eastwood site??

Thanks. How about “People Get Ready?”
Nice. I still prefer how the blue one plays Hey Joe.
Anyone know how the tuning stability is on these?
Where are the more expensive sidejacks made?
#legend
Inspired by Bill Frisell's version, no?
What string gauges do you use?
Id buy whatever guitar that enables me to sound like this guy 😂
What kind of strings are you using......?
so is that tuned down a whole step or .,...?
Usually a 4th so B to b
As low as A I believe...any regular guitar can be tuned down a whole step easily with heavier strings.
He pulls yet another rabbit out of the hat...
The low strings sound way too quiet for me... I wonder if pickups adjustment would help
thats what i did on mine, and it helps
Mine sounds perfect from the factory the danelectro I treid had NO treble
I just bought this and same thing, low B super quiet. Raised up pick up, fixed!
